My name is Chris Dumond. I am front and center on reporting about this Appomattox shooting for The News & Advance in Lynchburg. There's a post somewhere in this gen' discussion forum with one of my stories listed. I am working up a story for the weekend about local folks' attitudes about guns before, during and after this incident. I'm particularly interested to know if anyone is worried that there will be legislation that comes on the heels of this to restrict gun ownership rights and/or concealed carry rights in Virginia.
Thank you,
Chris

Chris,
The occurrences in Appomattox are very disheartening, and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I offer condolences to those who have been deeply affected by the tragedy. The impact on the laws of our land, if any, will be determined at some time in the future. At that time, we will continue to support our freedoms and our rights as US citizens, which include our rights under the Second Amendment.
