I read the article and voted but I'm still not clear as to what an "Assault Weapon" is. I have a Mosin-Nagant M91/30 that was used in Russia during WWII, is that an "Assault Weapon"? I'm fairly certain it was used during some assaults back then.

The anti-gun crowd doesn't know what an "assault weapon" is either. But, I bet if you showed them a picture of an AR-15 or AK-whatever, they would say... "That's it". So, it's pretty much any semi-auto rifle that looks scaryMoccasin wrote:I read the article and voted but I'm still not clear as to what an "Assault Weapon" is. So they think a 4 foot long bolt action rifle with an 18 inch bayonet doesn't look scary but an automatic rifle does?OakRidgeStars wrote:The anti-gun crowd doesn't know what an "assault weapon" is either. I know what you mean I have a Mosin-Nagant M44 with the fold out Bayonet which is about two feet long. I think this was used in a few assaults too.Moccasin wrote:I read the article and voted but I'm still not clear as to what an "Assault Weapon" is. I tore mine down and soaked the metal parts in mineral spirits. 3 inch PVC tube and cap for the receiver/barrel assembly and all the small parts in a plastic coffee can for a few hours. On the wood I used soapy water (Dawn) and dried it off immediately afterward.SnakeEater wrote: I'm still trying to get the cosmoline out of it DANG...
