New fella from Portsmouth

Hi folks. My name is Geoff and I've actually never owned a firearm before. I recently started researching my grandfather's service in WW2 and his bringbacks , reading books and joining lots of forums etc.. I decided I wanted to start collecting pistols and rifles from the war and bought myself some good reference books to start researching- also heading out to the gun shows, and watching auctions online. I've been saving up here and there, and now, over the next couple of weeks, I'm planning on getting my hands on a K98 and a p38(trying to be patient and wait for a deal). After that I'd like to pick up an M1 and a ppk and eventually a colt m1911. I love the history that comes along with these guns and I can't wait to shoot them!! I want to learn and hope that I will be able to contribute in some way. Any advice from other collectors would be welcomed and much appreciated!
