Please explain this to me

Can someone explain why Homeland Security is involved in the Swine Flu epidemic? If the CDC has responsibility for tracking/etc. then it seems to me that Health and Human Services should be involved since the CDC reports to them. I can't see why Homeland Security would be involved unless they felt it was an attack of some sort, then I could see them getting involved.

And to top it off, the WHO is now saying that U.S. flu victims may be infecting others around the world. Didn't this crap start in another country and spread here? I don't guess there is any way possible that people from asia/europe/etc. could have travelled to Mexico and brought it back with them.

And now THIS. It seems that some are offended by the name "Swine Flu" and want it renamed to "Mexican" Influenza. Just because they aren't allowed to eat pork doesn't mean that they aren't allowed to catch the flu from swine. It's normally found in swine but can be transmitted to humans. What's next? Change the name of chicken pox?

What about Small Pox? I think we might be offending them by calling them "Small". Maybe we should call them "Height disadvantaged Pox". Then we can give them welfare because they are disadvantaged...where will it all end?!

Let's not forget Equine Influenza and Canine Influenza. While some of the world population may eat horse or dog there is by far a larger percentage of the population that doesn't eat horse or dog than there is that doesn't eat pork. Must we need to change the names of those flus also so we do not offend anyone?

People need to grow some thicker skin. If you have nothing better to do than to be offended by the name of the flu that you contracted, then you need to get a job or a life or something. Political correctness is the beginning of the end for this country. The liberals use political correctness to tug at the heartstrings of the general populus and it works so well that they've taken over the country.

I'm just glad that Obama is screwing everything up so badly right now and I hope it continues so that the citizens of our once great country will pull their heads out of the liberal media's butt!

Does anyone think that this might be enough for us to get serious about our borders, or is it too late now?. It seems that we have our first death from swine flu in the U.S., in of all places, a southern border state. Why am I not surprised?
