Jim, it's downright comical to me how you can take the OP by GS78 and attempt to morph it into some sort of Anti-Obama tirade. I see the OP as exactly what it is - a brief note about a newsworthy comment made by Hugo Chavez and a little poke at Senator Reid regarding his racist comments about Obama.

There's no need, really, to turn this into a "Everyone here hates Obama because he's black" commentary, since that has absolutely nothing to do with the initial post or any possible permutation thereof. You are correct to say that there is a lot of ignorance in this country, but it crosses the aisle. There is ignorance on both sides. Ignorance is what led Obama to the presidency a-la ACORN, SEIU, the lamestream media (Oprah, NBC, CNN to name a few). Obama and the Democratic machine used the race card to get him elected. They used hundreds of thousands of low-income minorities who have never voted once in their lives and the allure of "Putting a black man in office" to get these people to vote. And it worked.

The worst part about Obama being in office is that he LIED to get there. Transparent government? Health Care discussion on CSPAN? Pull troops out of Iraq? and many, many others. Also, as stated previously, he has surrounded himself with the most radical people that have ever been in office or otherwise been in a position to advise a US president.

First off, where do you get off saying "Unlike most of us"? This is the clear language of someone who wants to make their position seem bigger than it is. You are not "Most of us". You are one person with an opinion. Granted, you are more than entitled to your opinion, but don't try to make it seem like "Most of us" are of the same opinion as you. This is a tactic that the left-wing media has perfected over the years and people are just now starting to realize that "Most of us" doesn't necessarily include them.

Second - "The man" is defined by his policies. Since I disagree with nearly everything that Obama has done or attempted since he took office a year ago, you can bet that I am not going to be his biggest fan personally. Now is the time to go out on the proverbial "limb" and say that "Most of us" in this forum feel this way.
