New from Ffx County, moving to Louisa soon

Post by Glock27Bill »

Hey, all.

My name is Bill.

I'm an NRA Instructor (Certified Home Firearms Safety), currently living in Fairfax County but moving to Louisa County in the next month or so (taking my job to our Charlottesville office). Can't wait to leave the rat race!

I'm also a moderator at http://www.nationalgunforum.com and an active VCDL member, as well as a member of:

California Rifle & Pistol Association
Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms—life member
Heritage Foundation
Illinois State Rifle Association
Jews for the Protection of Firearm Ownership
National Black Republican Association
NRA—life member
Second Amendment Foundation

I'm active with OpenCarry.org, and attend lots of open carry events.

Thanks for having me.

Hi Bill. Welcome to VGOF! :) It's great to have you here. Let me know if there's anything we can do to work together on our common cause. I don't have much free time for anything, but would like to know about any opportunities that you might have. Keep in touch with us here!

A pale facsimile, I'm sure... but I have been known to travel with my gun!

What part do you figure on settling at? - most NOVA transplants head for the lake. Me, I'm a native.

There's another one of us on here, with more tenure than I, but he doesn't know how to spell, either...

I'll be in the southern part of the county, east of Zion Crossroads.

Bought a small place with some land out in the middle of nowhere.

My company will have an office open up for me in Charlottesville the first of February.

Mostly excited, a little apprehensive.

I've lived in this town since 1963, same house for 30 years.

Still trying to pack the clutter, what a pain.

What part of Louisa are you in?

:welcome: to VGOF, Bill!

Glen's from so far south in the county, before the internet news didn't get to him for two or three days!
:hysterical: (I know cuz he's my bro').
Kidding aside - not far from Gum Spring - I'm hoping to build around the corner from him soon...
gotta get the VA job market stirred up first!

Rumson: They seem to be a little west of me. Gotta wonder why Muslims would pick the heart of Pork Rind country to settle. The nearest off-beat settlement near me is a commune: www.twinoaks.org

Saw these guys on the news, at least they kick folks out for not pulling their weight.

Riana: I noticed you were here. I just joined, figured you can't have too many local friends.
