Got my CHP today! w00t!

Post by allingeneral »

I am a Bona Fide member of the CHP world now. I received my CHP number 09-000147. This indicates that I am the 147th person in King George County this year to be issued a CHP. Now I'm trying to decide whether to find a CC holster for my Taurus .38 or find a semi-auto pistol to CC. Decisions, Decisions.

Congrats! You got it just in time to not be able to use during the summer. I still haven't figured out how to CC in shorts and a t-shirt.

I feel your pain. I filed an extension for us, too.

I'm just itching to go holster shopping, though. Think there will be a decent selection at the Chantilly show?

It's also hard to CC while swimming, so I guess I'll just have to toss it in the glove box in the boat.

I've not been to the Nations Gun Show. I would imagine that there will be a lot of holsters...surely you can find something you like there, eh? mmm...that's next weekend. I might have to forego gun shows to get out on the boat...we'll see how the weather looks toward the end of next week.

It's huge compared to the one in F'burg, IMO. I bought my Ladysmith there a year ago, and my Taurus 94 in November. Not looking to buy another gun at the moment, though - just a holster.

I still have to talk hubby into going - at $12 a head, it's slightly pricey, especially since I know there's like ZERO chance of finding any cheap ammo, and we're not in the gun market right now.

Aw, there's always other weekends for the boat! :hysterical: (The 10-day forecast for up here says it'll be sunny that weekend, BTW).
