46 yrold retired from the Marines 8 yrs ago. Looking to purchase my first shotgun, perhaps at the gunshow coming up. Haven't fired a weapon since I retired. Looking to get into shooting at the range soon, after I get a handgun. Need the shotgun for Home Defense. Hope to be chatting it up here soon.

You shouldn't have much trouble finding a home defense shotgun at the Hampton gun show. The Mossberg 500 with 18.5" barrel usually runs about $300 - $350. A Remington 870 or similar runs a bit more. They're both a popular item these days.

Welcome from another Peninsula resident. You could probably find a HD shotgun cheaper at Walmart or one of the local pawn shops a lot cheaper than the gun show. Both the Mossberg and Rem 870 will be good choices.
Why wouldn't you hold up the targets for me? It's a 9mm.
yeah I'd love to get a Rem. 870, or a Mossberg 500 but probably gonna settle for a Maverick 88.

If it is a shotgun you need get the Remington 870 Marine Magnum with a Knoxx recoil system shoulder stock takes about 95% of the recoil out of the gun. That is my set up I want to get anyways. Welcome once again.
