Has VCDL copyrighted "Guns Save Lives"?

Post by AlanM »

Doe anyone know if VCDL has copyrighted "Guns Save Lives"?

I'm seeing posts on other state gun forums that love the stickers etc. and are wondering whose permission they need to make their own versions.

Possibly use the same source for them as VCDL.

I just Googled "Guns Save Lives" and found that MANY organizations are producing signs, bumpers stickers, and other stuff plus banners on web sites.
Those three words are definitely in the public domain.

Iirc, Guns Safe Lives is a 2a news publication out of Illinois. They may have the slogan copyrighted.
