A judge in Colorado imposed firearm safety training on a defendant. She is surprised to learn that, out of all these "Gun Safety" gun control groups, not a single one offers training in the proper use and handling of firearms. So, the defendant is "stuck" with an NRA approved course, apparently leaving gun-control advocates appalled.

Considering the details of the case, I'm rather pleased that the judge allowed the defendant this option. She could have just branded him a felon, and barred him from firearm ownership and possession, for the rest of his life.
