Meanwhile, in KY

Post by SHMIV »

Kentucky is doing something that Virginia should be doing:

Kentucky has long reminded me of what Virginia is SUPPOSED to be like. The State is filled with people who remind me of actual Virginians; probably because so many of them are descended from actual Virginians.

Well, it appears to be official:

Yep, Kentucky is one of my "escape-to" States, should it come to that. Between this, and relatively cheap cigarettes, I think that I could live there comfortably. Last I ate in a restaurant, there, I found that the indoor smoking laws were far more reasonable and civilised, than Virginia has become. So, top of my list, at the moment.

Makes sense. Reckon Kentucky used to be a county (or part of one) in Virginia, didn't it?

Kentucky was part of Virginia until it's Statehood was established in 1792.
