Bombs in the mail -- Just curious what do you think?
I think they should quit referring to them as bombs until they determine if they are truly explosives with a detonation device.
The package shown on the news media has a few errors which makes me wonder too.
Brennan is misspelled
Schultz is misspelled
Florida is misspelled.
Stamps do not look cancelled and they indicated they did not go through the post office.
And in the meantime why can't they just shut up and wait until they have new additional information to provide to the viewers? They have gone over all the guesses enough for a lifetime.

This is just my opinion and it's worth what you are paying for it.
IF, and that's a big IF, they find that these packages are actually NOTdangerous.
And IF the perpetrator(s) are found, I am willing to bet that it going to be someone paid to send them to make Soros and the Democrats look like victims.
This is happening too close to the mid-term elections.
It looks like a hail-Mary play on the electorate's sympathy.
Just my humble opinion.
Conspiracy theories are going to be flying from both sides of the isle.
Although, it COULD be a third group trying to split the two partys even further.

You are right on Alan.....

Re: Bombs in the mail -- what do you think?
the cnn package has been confirmed to be delivered by courier. so why put stamps on it?
The xray shows the wires not connected to the timer.
Why unbox a package, that on xray shows wires, timer, and a heavy wall cylinder, and then stick around to take pictures of it? Any reasonable mail-sort room for a major company who deals with threats on a daily basis, has SOP's for handling this, and I'll assure you, it is not
1) open it
2) take pictures
Not one word so far about the exploding material that was used.
it all feels very very hoax-ish. Or its a pre-run / pre-conditioning to lull the next round of real targets into not taking the next package seriously.

I heard after my op:
black powder
PVC
glass
...and I told my wife the same thing as Alan posted.
They claim they will have targets within 2-3 days.

Interesting.

FoxNews video on this subject. ~7 minutes.
https://video.foxnews.com/v/58531295010 ... show-clips
Also none of the packages were designed to explode upon opening.
At least one didn't have the battery connected.
One expert interviewed on FoxNews stated that no professional bomber would use a digital clock (with a display) as a timer.
(IMHO - That's a Hollywood thing so suspense can be built up and the bomb disabled at the last second. Much like the unwritten wiring color code of bombs. "CUT THE RED WIRE!)
If I were building a bomb all the wires would be the same colors and my labels used in construction would be removed before deploying it.
Also mentioned was too many stamps on, at least one, package, over sized labeling, mis-spelled names, etc.
Not to mention that anyone with half a brain should be aware that the target people don't open their own mail and it all goes through security screening.

Reichstag Fire bombs?
My grandfather said, "Always use your head!".
I told him, "I want to pound nails!"
He said, "Best use a hammer instead."

ACME pipe bombs used on Roadrunner by Wylie Coyote made out of PVC pipe, huge wires, a small digital clock. Not real.

Bah! Russian attempts to meddle in the Presidential election backfired so now they are taking a new tack.
