Keep Calm

Post by Jon »

I posted this on another forum and thought with the current state of events it was needed to be heard here.

"You guys need to relax. Realize that even if you are not one, there enough true Patriots willing to defend the Constitution in this country that all of your worst fears will never actually happen, no matter how much the MSM wants you to believe it.

The govt knows it too, which is why they won't go there. In this day and age they'd be dealing with a Ruby Ridge on the hour every hour. And that's something they don't want to touch no matter how much whining they hear from the libs.

In a few weeks the MSM will be completely back to trying to humiliate Trump and police brutality."

Look at my country. Couple thousands communist got power and f*cked the whole country, for decades.

Kelu is correct. I put nothing past these "communists" in SEGMENTS of the country.

That's what they want, divide the country, bring the whole thing down.

(shrugs) I'll deal with them, and that fight when it comes... until then? I'll scream, yell, write, call, etc.

Business as usual.

There is very little evidence that gun owners will band together to defend their brethren in the event of government confiscation. To resist actively is to take a great deal of personal risk - of imprisonment, job loss, even death; which redounds to one's family and friends.

The Left, under the sponsorship of certain Deep State actors, has already shown its eagerness to use violence, in the style of the Brownshirts, with media and government approbation.

Just another asymmetry.

I think there's more evidence out there than might be available at first glance. Most recently, look at the Bundy Standoff. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bundy_standoff Plenty could argue that legally speaking Bundy was in the wrong. However, plenty civilians showed up armed, & prevented things from getting REAL ugly. Incidents like this have happened a few times in the last decade.

Not to mention, most of us who are middle aged, or older, still have vivid images of Waco, RR, etc.... Do you really think that if confiscation happened people wouldn't stand up in mass..? I think MANY would. Now, let that situation get ugly.... what do you think would happen if a few people refused to give up their weapons, & they were actually shot, & killed..? Think the masses would tuck tail, & surrender, or dig in..?

There's not enough jail cells, not enough morgues, not enough LE to arrest everybody who wants to keep their weapons. It would destroy our country. It wouldn't be good for business (government), & Big Brother wouldn't want to deal with PR of thousands of RR's, & Waco's simultaneously.......

2 cents....

As we all are "white supremacists", we should only call democrats as they are: Marxists and communists. That would put them on defensive, not offensive.
If everyone would do that, and accuse them of anti-American activities and interests, you will see their tone lower down immediately.

On the question of whether or not gun owners would band together; in my opinion, I think that depends on the area.

Urban areas, probably not. Suburban areas, iffy. Depends on local culture. Exurban areas, likely so, with a couple of exceptions. Rural areas, expect a standoff, if not actual battle.

As far as Government goes, well Government is like kudzu. It grows, spreads, and destroys everything. And some people think it's pretty. Our rights will be taken over (and not just 2A rights; all rights), little by little, until they are gone.

Consider this: there is a family rifle that will come to me, one day. Less than 100 years ago, my Grandfather bought it as a gift for his mother. Sounds normal, until you know that he was about 10, at the time, and he bought it at a hardware store in Brooklyn.

Like I said, it's not just gun rights. It's your right to choose to do business, or not do business, with whomever you choose, based on whatever criteria you choose.

Through taxation, some of us are forced to support causes and finance activities that we find morally objectionable.

The list goes on. Our governing body needs a serious pruning. Right down to the stump, if you ask me.
