Wow! That looks great! Nice choice! 308 with a 4-12x40 should get you out to 800+ yards, no problem.
We have to see if we can talk Randy into getting the "new" dirt pile going! I can donate cash and my son's labor after the holidays! Hahaha

I have actually picked where I am going to build my "New Shooting Range" . I'm taking off 2 weeks for Christmas and New Years and hope to get a good start . My surveyor is going to come for a day and lay it out for me since it will be close to property lines. I am trying for about 230 yards with a good back stop and a raised shooting platform.

Nice piece, and I agree with Mark that should let you reach way out there as needed. And Snakester, I would love to get together with you and Mark, and also willing to help out as much as I can. Sounds like you will have a really nice long distance range.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to Randy's today, had a job I had to finish so I worked most of the day.
I might need some help dialing this thing in as I've never messed with a scope with this much adjustability.
Thanks for the kind words...

Just watched a couple YouTube Video's for doing a trigger job on your rifle....looks like a piece of cake and well worth it.

Got the trigger kit installed and did some polishing on the trigger with a light coat of oil and it's definitely better. I would say it's at least half of what it was.
I'll shoot it Sunday and see how it does. I may do some more work depending on how things turn out.
