CZ Scorpion

Post by Snakester »

Spent a couple hours today shooting the new Scorpion. The right side safety has got to go.
Really rubs hard on my right hand......Everybody on line says the same thing. It shot great and is very accurate and is a lot of fun to shoot. Carol and I shot 400 rds. With. O issues at all. Going to clean it tonight and plan to shoot it again tomorrow. I can see already it needs a few aftermarket accessories.

Congrats man! Glad to see you picked on up! You noticed which one we sold. ;-)

That selector switch is no joke. I'm shocked you could tolerate shooting it so much. The ambi delete I put on mine came straight from CZ. It was about $18 after shipping.

Enjoy!

I ordered some "goodies" from HB Industries including a right side safety delete . The Scorpion is such a fun gun to shoot and seems like it will eat just about any ammo feed to it. I shot some Federal , Tula , Perfecta and some loose stuff I have had for a while....It shot it all.

Congrats on the new shooter Randy!

Is that like one of the ones Mark let us try out a couple of weeks ago? Is yours 9mm or .223?

It's 9mm , Like Marc's...We shot about 400 rds. last weekend and enjoyed it a lot. I ordered some 30rds. mags. and some other aftermarket accessories . Should make it shoot that much better. Carol has a weekend of family obligations , so I plan to spend Friday , Sat. and Sunday in Dinwiddie !

I installed the right safety delete....Great improvement. Also installed Theta Extended Charging Handle and also installed last night the Theta RED Forward Trigger. The trigger alone made a noticeable difference and after I shoot it some more I may install the trigger spring kit to reduce the pull .

Gave an old shooting buddy of mine a Scorpion Shooting Demo this afternoon. He's got a Ruger Charger that is pretty sweet with a lot of Custom Accessories . I have to say it is a lot of fun to shoot but , after several 20 rd. mags in the Scorpion he had the same expression on his face Jon had Saturday shooting Marc's Slide Fire Rifle.

Shot the Scorpion again this afternoon with a friend that also has a Scorpion....The best accessory he had for his is a Speed Loader from Rapid Fire Tech. I immediately ordered one and should have it by Monday. Should make shooting and loading a little more FUN . :machinegun:

I have ordered quite a few parts and accessories for the New Scorpion from CZ USA and HB Industries . I have to say both are great to deal with and have really fast shipping. Top quality parts and Customer Service was second to none. Yesterday a friend of mine came out to do a little shooting and brought his brother in law. He had several nice SS Revolvers , one was a Dan Wesson model 15. Then he pulled out a CZ 75b pistol . 9mm 16+1 unbelievable shooter ! :pistol:

I've been working on the Scorpion a little more. I did a complete trigger job , polishing all the parts and installed a reduced weight trigger spring. I don't have a way to measure the pull weight but , it has to be in the 2-3 lb. range. I also installed a Duck Bill Mag Release and what a difference it makes. I shot about 300 rds . yesterday and what a fun shooter the Scorpion is ! :machinegun:

I actually haven't taken any pic's of the Scorpion as of yet. I've been working on it quite a bit and almost have it finished for now. I plan on shooting it a lot this weekend and will take some pic's then . :tommygun:
