Recount?

Post by GregVa »

This isnt good.. they wont give up it took MI 2 weeks to count the votes the first time and now they have to recount?

From what i read its a hard process and no presidential election has been overturned, but I wish this could just be over. The chances that all 3 states MI , PA and WI will flip in a recount are slim.. but still not good.

What about the faithless electors.. that could add in to make a big problem.

Can trump call for a recount to make sure any close states that went for her actualy had citizens and live people voting?

What do you think ..

We can all just hope that only thing she proves is that fools and their money are soon parted. That's the highly likely outcome as I read what seems to be the informed opinion.

Guys, I can assure you, nothing is going to change.

First off, the actual election for President has not occured yet. They can demand all the recounts they want on the popular vote. It has zero impact on the elction.

The Electoral college doesn't use the same voting system we do for the pop vote. They have a closed system that is different in every state.

Also, it is illegal for electicors to change their vote in 27 states. Since they couldn't bully electors into changing their vote, now they are pulling this crap.

The reason why I say it's not going to work is, if they prove that the election pledges for the electors has been tampered with, they have to have new election pledges made. Also, if 100% of the electors in all three states change their pledge, it will not change the outcome of the election. Trump won the electoral pledge count i, a landslide. 3 states won't be enough to flip the results.

I hope you are right. Just when you think its going to be a less hostile politically for the 2A for a while they do this.

I agree It is doubtful they can change 3 states, but you are saying even if they do the election pledges from these states are set already?

So, basically, on Dec 19 the electoral college will actually cast their votes. On Nov 8, each elector told the state in the form of a written pledge as to who they will vote for on Dec 19.

I have not looked to see what states are being protested, but in most states it's criminal for an elctor to make a faithless pledge. So, this dim-witts have to prove that fraud has occurred. If they manage to prove that, the all electors will have to vote again.

Now, let's say 100% of all electors select someone other than Trump, the loss of votes is not enough for Trumpto lose

Jill Stein apparently wants to make herself more widely known. She's been fundraising for this lunacy:

I'll be glad when we get to the swearing in process; election day is over, and there are other things to do.

So, I looked into this a little bit after reading the link H posted. The states that are being contested don't look to be a coincidence.

The total electoral votes that are being contested are 46 votes. Hillary has 232 vote and Trump has 290 votes.

Well, if you take 46 votes (the total contested vote), then Trump will have the exact number of votes that Hillary has now... 232. It would also put Clinton up by 12 votes, giving her the election.

But, again... they have to prove someone cheated. Doing that in all 3 states will be very improbable, and they MUST prove it in all 3 states for the election results to be null.

BTW, if they prove that those three states have been compromised, then we need to stand-up as a whole people and demand the system used for voting be corrected nation wide. Not get rid of the electoral college, but the corruption.

Personally, I think that the election WAS rigged, the process WAS compromised, but Trump won, anyway. I fully expected Mrs. Clinton to pull a Gore move, but she quietly conceded, and let it go. The only reason that she's getting involved now, is because Jill Stein has decided to make a nuisance of herself, so she wants to make sure that her fraudulent plotting isn't discovered.

I have to wonder, if you discounted all the votes by dead people, convicted felons, and illegals, and took all the votes that machines changed from "Trump" to "Clinton" and put them back to "Trump", what would the actual final tally be? I believe that that the true popular vote was in favor of Trump, and despite vote tampering by the Democrat party, Trump still had enough popular votes in key states to overcome it, and take the electoral votes.

Jill Stein isn't the only rabble rouser, though. There has been an effort to intimidate Electors into voting for Hillary:

http://mobile.wnd.com/2016/11/electoral ... h-threats/

Harassing Electors is probably a safer route for Mrs. Clinton; paid radicals sending emails and making phone calls keeps voting machines from being examined.

Have I gone into tin-foil hat territory? Why, yes. Yes I have. But, people conspire all the time. History is filled with conspiracy. Our Nation began with a conspiracy. And, the Clintons are crooked as a dogs hind leg; we all know it. They have the will and the financial resources to attempt significant conspiracies. And, they got caught successfully executing a conspiracy to rig the Democrat primary in favor of Hillary. It's foolish to believe that they wouldn't try to do the same in the National election.

Personally, I find the democratic meltdown hilarious. All the nonsense they talked, all the in your face stuff from 8yrs ago (4yrs ago too), all the prognosticators .....all of it is absolutely ridiculous funny to me. As expected though, what I don't see is, a lot of red voters publicly rubbing it in their faces. I see a lot of people who won with class.

The boo-hoo whaa whaa of the blue voters is pretty satisfying to watch. Especially when you go back in time & get a refresher in the hypocrisy of their actions/words. :hysterical:

I wonder what the reactions will be if some of Trumps ideas/policies work..? What happens if we actually have an economic boom, & many more people find meaningful work..? Will the tired call of racism, sexism, & disenfranchisement sound louder than ever..? What if some Trump policy actually helps bring violence down in urban areas..? Will he still be a racist..?

It's gonna be interesting to see what happens. Once the tears dry up from the dems, & the media, at least they'll be able to get back to normal. You know.... bashing the President, & twisting everything he does into some conspiracy against real Americans...lol. I wonder if the cable propagandists will bring back the kill count/casualty tickers for our troop involvements in the world..? Remember when W. was President, & they ran 24/7 casualty tickers in the top corner of the screen. Was odd how that disappeared when O took office, even though more troops were injured/killed with O as CIC... hmmm...

I hope Trump is able to affect some positive change for our country. I really believe HRC would've been a nightmare for us all. While, I certainly expect first time politician Trump to stumble.... I also fully expect him to make headway, & execute some positive policies. Either way, it's definitely going to be entertaining.

Anybody going to the inauguration..??

Like you all said.. a bunch of cry babies.

They are wounding how Clinton could have possible lost WI? Maybe its that the people that work, no matter how much you make, are tired of giving more and more by taxes to the poor.

Check out these 2 maps:
Map of welfare recipients by county in WI. ( no suprise its where thhe dems won)
http://www.irp.wisc.edu/faqs/faq4/FAQ4-Map1-2016.png
(The above image was found on this page:
http://www.irp.wisc.edu/faqs/faq4.htm)

then compare the welfare recipients to the counties that voted Democrat:
http://www.politico.com/2016-election/r ... wisconsin/

So no the results were not hacked .. people are just tired of providing for a welfare state.

I found this to be a good reading: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-11-25/trump-great

I suspect that the democRATS want to throw the election to the house if the three states cannot complete their recounts in time for the electroal college to meet and vote, they cannot declare a victor if neither receives 270 votes. After the house "elects" Trump then he becomes another illegitimate president like Bush.

Let me tell you how stupid this whole thing is... She is saying that the computer systems in those states were hacked. Well, if the data was compromised, then a recount isn't in order. The data would be worthless and a recount simply won't do anything but yield unreliable results.

So, if the Libtards get their way and somehow prove that the election systems were hacked, they would not be able to hold another public election. The Constitution specifically says that if the States can't provide a winner via election, then the House picks the POTUS and the Senate picks the VP (also known as the President of the Senate... if you were wondering what the VP's actual job is.).

I think Marc is right. The recounts biz likely won't work for the DemoRats.

Michigan has completed the full recount triggered by state law and Trump still came out on top, so he has 306 electoral votes to Klinton's 232. They would need to reverse the result in Michigan (16 votes), Pennsylvania (20 and Wisconsin (10) to win in the Electoral College; and the Trump campaign might find a Federal judge to prevent a second recount in Michigan.

However, I do think the Klintonistas may be trying to further some elaborate scheme to take the White House via the back door.

And.... this whole bit of nonsense has prompted Trump to, yet again, say something that makes liberal heads explode:

"I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally" -Donald Trump, via Twitter.

Hey, didn't I say something similar to that, a few posts ago?

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-calls- ... ction.html

I know that some folks are a little put off by Trump's poking liberals with sticks, but personally, I'm glad that he's not bending over backwards to appease these people, like Bush did. Or McCain, or Romney, or virtually any other Republican. Remember when the Emperor mocked the "Bitter people clinging to their guns and religion"? Remember when we "didn't build that"? Yeah, well, now the Democrats can sit there and be accused of voter fraud. Accusations, I might add, that I believe have merit.

I might enjoy the next 4-8 years.

No dignity, no honor, no class whatsoever. It's a shame that the DNC has stooped so low. It's unfortunate that they as a party at least, cannot show some sportsmanship, & take it like adults. Rather than come to the obvious conclusion that their policies are not wanted by most people in this country, they believe the delusion that California sets the standard for the entire country, & that because millions of weirdos live their, they should decide the fate for the whole country.

Make no mistake, if the roles were reversed (H- electoral college, T- pop vote), they would be laughing their asses off, talking about what a great system we have. They sure rubbed it in everyones face when O won.

From - http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/201 ... ounts.html
If a state never gets to name electors, the number needed to win goes down; a majority of those named is enough. Even with 260-232, Trump should win unless there wee lots of faithless electors. Now had the Democrats or Green Party also challenged Florida with 29 Electoral College votes, then it could have been 232-231 for Clinton.

However, Florida's vote total is final and certified (and maybe Electors already picked).

The House and Senate get involved only when no candidate wins a majority of electors selected and voting, which can happen when 3 or more candidates win electoral votes, or there is a tie among 2 because some states did not submit or had faithless electors.

If someone has a majority of electoral votes submitted, the Senate and House open the tally and merely name the winner. Clearly this process is now subject to recount mischief in the future, now that Jill Stein and Clinton campaign have in essence argued any close state that Trump won should be challenged.
I don't profess to know all the ins and outs of all this BS. But I don't know how the result of this election could change. I suspect that the theory expressed in this piece and by @jmax in this thread, is a very plausible scenario. Best thing for Trump to do is focus and STFU on Twitter.

THIS! I couldn't care any less about him poking them with a pointy stick verbally, in fact, I kinda enjoy the fact that no one is giving them their "Safe-space" anymore. Maybe they'll toughen their hides in 4 years.

My opinion is that they should not be poked with sticks, but beaten with fence posts until they learn to play fair.
