Lucky Shot at The Range Today

Post by MarcSpaz »

Man, I made one he'll of a lucky shot at the range today. Went to Elite with a few friends. I was letting them try out my 300 blackout on the 100 yard line. I rifle had my red dot on it and we were shooting at a 3 inch orange target with a tiny black diamond in the center... maybe 4/10the of an inch.

I did not fire the rifle at first. I let two of my friends try it first. They were both off target by 3 and 4 inches and they both insisted the red dot needed to be zeroed.

I sat down, fired 1 shot and perfectly hit the black diamond. None of the orange tore, it was all in the black diamond. My three friends freaked in total amazement. I stood up, looked at them and said "looks like it's a shooter problem to me".

We left the range with those guys thinking I'm a sharpshooter 1 step below God.

I'm glad you had witnesses...You could have been golfing by yourself and made a hole in one ! :pistol:

Oh, man....that sucks. It great that you did it, but with no one there, it takes all the excitement out of it.

:hysterical: that's too funny.

its actually pretty close, but it's a 1.5 MOA rifle with cheap range ammo, so I can't expect to intentionally hit a spot that small. The guys I was with are new to firearms and have no idea.

I was gonna take a picture of it, but the paper was already full of holes. Plus, when I pulled my phone out, my buddies looked at me like "you're not actually gonna take a picture of that, are you?" LOL. I figured the witnesses were good enough.
