Couple facts to use against the gun grabers

So, my friend Alan posted something on FB that reminded me of some interesting facts about the gun debate that you may find this very interesting. Hopefully, you can recall the info when debating with a Lib or gun grabber.

Honduras completely outlawed all private ownership of firearms and they are the murder capital of the world, at 86.4. The exact same is true for El Salvador and Venezuela. They are number 2 and 3 for the most murderous countries in the world and firearms are 100% illegal for private ownership.

Now, Switzerland requires all males to be in the military and all citizens own their own military weapons. i.e., "the militia". Swiss law states that the soldiers must keep their Army issued equipment, including all personal weapons, at home. Those gun toting killer Swiss have a murder rate of 0.5. Yep, that's right. Mandatory for every capable male in the country to own a weapon and they are the 12th lowest murder rate in the world.

Just a bit more info... In the nation of Andorra (a European nation), it is completely legal for private citizens to own almost any kind of firearm. In the most recent year that stats are available for (2014), there were no murders. Yup... none... not one single murder in the gun mad nation of Andorra.

now that's a small place... we have county's in VA that are bigger.

When you get small enough, you can get a great alignment of ideas and ideals, and with less differences between you and your neighbor, there is less conflict.

Facts are interesting things.

Only problem - the opposition doesn't care about facts. They aren't interested in having an intellectual discussion or have a persuasive arguments.

They are only interested in pulling the emotional strings to get the purposefully ignorant masses to wage a popular opinion campaign to pass legislation no sane, reasonable person would ever think about doing.

I just smile at them and tell them, "Bless your heart..." That gets them pretty fired up.
