Spiffy Boots

Post by SHMIV »

Once in a while, I run across boots like these:

I wish that I'd had a pair to wear to my wedding. That would have been awesome.

When you say, "I'll put a boot in your ass" when wearing those, you will definitely get someone's attention.

H... as your Brother under the tree of life, I mean this in a loving, Christian sorta way...

You have got to be joking, right? I mean, the origin is tribal Mexican musical clown shoes/boots.

Joking? LMAO, sure, if you mean in the practical sense.

Truthfully, I have more important places to direct my funds, so I won't be buying those. Could you imagine trying to drive in those boots?

Y'all have little opportunity to witness my absurd side, here on the forum. I once aquired one of those big mirrored domes that hang from ceilings in stores, for security purposes. Then I spray painted my 1984 Plymouth Town & Country minivan silver, attached the dome to the roof, along with about 8 cb antennas and a revolving amber light. The light functioned, btw.

When folks asked, I told them it was a communication device. When ask who I was communicating with, I told them "Klobnoks". They'd ask what Klobnoks were. Inhabitants of the Klobnokian planet. Then I would inform them that the US was utilizing the superior satellite technology of the Klobnoks to spy on Afghanistan, in an effort to find Bin Laden. My job was to talk to the Klobnoks and relay their reports back to President Bush.

Also, I'm sure you've seen those fuzzy little balls that Mexicans have been known to hang around the ceilings of their cars; I've done that with several of my own vehicles. I've appeared in public, multiple times, in an Elvis jumpsuit. I've practiced my fire-eating act while riding a skateboard down the sidewalks of Williamsburg, dressed like Danny Zuko, complete with sideburns and greaser hair. And, of course, I do own and wear this pair of boots:

One must never forget that I was conceived in a travel trailer out west somewhere, while my parents were traveling circus performers. Later, I joined a carnival.

My sisters and I; we're an event waiting to happen, lol.

So, yeah, those absurd curl toed boots? I would definitely own and wear those in public. People would point and laugh, and I would feel good having caused some smiles and laughter. God knows, we could all use an extra reason to laugh.

Those are the boots the Pope would wear if the Pope were cool enough to wear boots.

Oh, yeah, lol. TBH has heard those stories, plus other stories that have yet to be told here. And, much to her chagrin, extreme embarrassment, and bemusement, she gets to witness my antics in person.

She really hates when a good song comes through the speakers at the grocery store, and I start to dance in the aisles. Or when I publicly audition for the Ministry of Silly Walks. Or whatever else will cause an amusing spectacle. :)
