A Primary Day Reminder

Post by FiremanBob »

Please think before you vote today.

A vote for Trump is a vote for Clinton.

If you are guided by the Constitution, Trump is against you. He knows nothing of the Constitution and respects it even less. He is a fraud, a scam artist who is pulling the biggest scam in America since 2008. Don't be a sucker.

Friends don't let friends vote for Trump.

I won't tell you who to vote for but I will ask you to get out and do your civic duty.

Happy primary day folks.

I was up bright and early to vote for Ted Cruz. I'm hoping you will do likewise.

"We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them."
We are in the early days of a big change. The death and rebirth of both parties, and I'm not sure it will be only 2 after this process. Stop thinking in terms of the past. We are not talking about Democrats and Republicans. The correct terms for them would be bolshevicks and traitors/pussies. Two sides of the same corrupt coin. Their own bases don't agree with them anymore. We should talk about progressives and conservatives. Now you have a completely different image; if you look at some Republicans, they are actually progressives, and some Democrats are actually conservatives.

The Primary election is an expression of who's ideas we like best collectively. There are thoughts and ideas of each candidate that I would like to bundle into one then put it to the person I would prefer to see in the seat of President of the USA.

The General election is the time for the Party vote.

I will vote for the Republican candidate I would prefer...but when the General election is here I will vote Republican regardless of who it is.

I humbly suggest that Kelu is right. The establishment is made up of two parties and for all intents and purposes, you might as well call them the Republicrats. The establishment has gotten us to where we are today and that place is not good. Depending on how things go primary-wise, I will possibly wind up voting third party. I voted for the lesser evil for years. I won't do it anymore.

That's too simplistic. The parties are not monolithic.* In the Republican party, there has been a growing movement, since the establishment of the Tea Party movement in 2010, to reform the party into a Constitutional party, uniting limited-government conservatives and libertarians against the establishment. This is very much an expanded version of what Reagan presaged in 1980, and given proper support, it could transform the Republican party. Ted Cruz, Dave Brat, Tom Cotton, Ben Sasse, and others are the emerging leaders of this movement.

*The Democrats are monolithic in their Marxist ideology and in their complete corruption, using the power of government to expand their personal power and wealth in a completely unAmerican manner, but there is a war for power within the party between the Clintonites and the Obamans.

Yes Bob, there is a war within Republican party. Ole good boys who sold us for 40 pieces of silver won't agree to go silently. They are doing everything they can to keep the party on the (bad) track they set it to. Including "killing" their own, such as voting for Hillary.
I came from the future to tell you if you don't get off your ass, your children and grand-children will cry and blame you (generally speaking for all Americans). There is no other place on Earth where you can go. I've search for it already.

kelu, I agree with you 100%. That's why I speak up. I'd rather raise my voice than raise my arms, and unlike some here, I do not believe it is too late. But it's getting close. If the American Communists (aka Democrats) steal this election, the destruction of our nation will soon be complete.

3:22: GOP turnout up even in Northern Virginia:

Republican turnout is way up in Arlington as Trump signs proliferate across the county https://t.co/jgdNJvdcNs pic.twitter.com/OmMsTkJdn0

— Arlington News (@ARLnowDOTcom) March 1, 2016

As of 2 p.m. today, with five hours to go until polls close, the percentage of Arlington voters casting ballots in the Republican presidential primary has already exceeded the total from the 2008 GOP primary.

Mid-day Super Tuesday turnout was 24 percent of registered voters in Arlington — 9 percent Republican, 15 percent Democrat.

[…]

One factor for the increased Republican turnout may be the presence of Donald Trump in the race. Supporters of the businessman and GOP frontrunner have been particularly prolific in placing signs around polling places in Arlington — so much so that Lindberg said the county elections office has received at least one complaint about the Woodmont polling station having too many Trump signs.

Early for me was 1pm.

At my precinct, there were about 100 "Vote For ....." signs. With 5 republicans and 2 democrats on the ballots, I was very surprised that half were for Trump and half for Cruz. Not a single sign for any of the other 5.

The only signs we saw shortly after 0600 this morning were two rows, one on each side of the road going into the church parking lots, that said "TRUMP", "TRUMP", "TRUMP", over and over.

No one else had a sign up in sight.

The Trumpers were out in force at my neighborhood's polling place. I lost count of how many blue Trump signs I saw before I even made it to the stoplight.

The Hillary and Sanders crowd must have been across town.

What is the probability that many of the Trump voters in NoVA were actually Democrats engaging in a version of Operation Chaos? You don't have to vote per your registration in our state.

You know darn well that Trump has a closet full of scandals that will disqualify him. Then Clinton or Obama's appointed heir will coast to the office on the power of the combination of dependents, corruptocrats, and dupes that make up the Democrat machine.

I think that the media and the pollsters are hyping Trump precisely because he is the one candidate on the Republican side who has a good chance of losing.

You are talking about the same media and pollsters that for months say Trump has no chance? Because I'm watching equally all major media channels (keep a close eye on the enemy) and that's what some 80% of them say, or at least used to say until today. Written media too.
Megyn Kelly was ridiculous last night in her repeated attempts to link Trump to KKK. Same on the other channels.

Well, all you Trump haters today will be on the bandwagon tomorrow. "Gotta vote Trump to keep Clinton out of the WH!!" Looks like Cruz got crushed in Virginia and doesn't look to be gaining any traction anywhere else.

I prefer Cruz, but am not surprised by Trump.

I wonder who will be Trumps running mate? He's trashed pretty much everyone.
