Are these accessories worth getting?
Are these accessories worth getting?
I bought a a Kel Tec KSG a few months ago as my first shotgun and so far I am enjoying it. Which of these KSG accessories are worth getting? I am only started getting into guns recently(its only been a little over a year) so I dont know what much about accessories.

If you go to the Kel-Tec forum (thektog.com) you will find many expert conversations on this topic. Having sold and used a couple of KSGs, my view is:
1. The only mandatory accessory is a Magpul hand stop for the forend. This will give you a positive safety for your pump hand and make it easier to operate the slide. A vertical grip is not safe. One of the two documented instances of a user blowing his hand off with a KSG involved a front vertical grip that snapped off the rail. The Magpul hand stop is larger than the inadequate one that came in the box with your shotgun.
2. If you plan to shoot any slugs, a ghost-ring sight system is a good idea.
3. A muzzle break is not necessary. It's a heavy shotgun and 10% recoil reduction isn't noticeable.
4. Recoil pad is a good idea.
5. An important upgrade not listed in that article is replacing the plastic magazine followers with aluminum ones from tandemkross.com. This will improve feeding reliability.

One more idea: if it's a home defense gun, a painfully bright flashlight on the gun with an instant on/off switch is useful. It not only blinds an attacker who invades your home in the dark, but enables you to ID the threat and place your shot accurately, thereby avoiding damage to your walls and furniture. The instant off switch enables you to recover the cloak of darkness by simply lifting your finger. A light left on too long makes you a target.
