someone read my mind

Post by jdonovan »

or posts...

Tennessee SB1736
Firearms and Ammunition - As introduced, establishes that if a person or entity posts to prohibit the possession of firearms on the property, the posting entity, for purposes of liability, assumes custodial responsibility for the safety and defense of any handgun carry permit holder harmed while on the posted property.
I've been saying this for a while... let the property owner post their property if the choose, but if they do so, then they take responsibility for their patrons security and safety.

That would be a huge win if it passes. We need more states to follow suit too.

even if it passes only in one state, it opens the door from a civil liability to be asked of the courts in another state when an incident happens.

the follow on is to explicitly remove state/local government from an exemption.
