7 Things that Should Have Happened at Obama’s Gun Control Town Hall
by AWR Hawkins
The gun control town hall CNN hosted for President Obama was very one-sided. The vast majority of the questions directed at Obama were leading questions centered on gun control, while the few questions or comments that were pro-Second Amendment in nature went unanswered or were only partially answered.
Here are seven things that should have happened at the town hall:
1. When Obama defended “smart guns” and touted them as the guns Americans should have in their homes, Anderson Cooper should have asked if Obama if he is willing to let his Secret Service detail trade in their traditional guns and carry “smart guns” instead.
2. When gun control proponents Mark Kelly and Gabby Giffords stood in support of Obama’s expansion of background checks under the guise of keeping Americans safe, Anderson Cooper should have pointed out that Giffords’s attacker—Jared Loughner—acquired his firearm by passing a background check.
3. When gun control proponent Father Michael Pfleger stood and asked why we don’t title guns the way we title cars, Obama or Cooper should have explained that the reason is because we don’t have a constitutional right to cars. We do, however, have a God-given, constitutionally recognized right to keep and bear arms for the defense of our lives, the lives of our families, and our property.
4. When Obama responded to rape victim Kimberly Corban’s desire to purchase a handgun for self-defense by saying, “there are always questions has to whether or not having a firearm in the home protects you from that kind of violence,” Cooper should have respectively interrupted and suggested the ruling class in DC could go a week without armed body guards in their homes and then revisit Kimberly’s question.
5. When Obama assured Americans he has no intention of confiscating firearms and no time to do it in his last year—even if he wanted to—Anderson Cooper should have said, “Oh, you mean if you like your firearm you can keep your firearm?”
6. Cooper should have asked Obama a question that a reader posted to the ATF Headquarters Facebook page. The question was, “So, say I am a federal agency, and I sell a bunch of guns to Mexican cartels, do I need a federal firearms license?”
7. When Obama referenced background checks as a way to keep Americans “safer,” Cooper should have asked how background checks make us safer if mass shooters and high-profile shooters are getting their guns via background checks.
Breitbart News previously reported that shooters and alleged shooters who got their guns via background checks include Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik (San Bernardino), Noah Harpman (Halloween, Colorado Springs), Chris Harper Mercer (Umpqua Community College), Vester Lee Flangan (Virgina), John Russell Houser (Lafayette), Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez (Chattanooga), Dylann Roof (Charleston), Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi (Garland), Jared and Amanda Miller (Las Vegas), Elliot Rodger (Santa Barabara), Ivan Lopez (Fort Hood 2014), Darion Marcus Aguilar (Maryland mall), Karl Halverson Pierson (Arapahoe High School), Paul Ciancia (LAX), Andrew John Engeldinger (Minneapolis), Aaron Alexis (DC Navy Yard), Tennis Melvin Maynard (West Virginia), Wade Michael Page (Sikh Temple), James Holmes (Aurora theater), Jared Loughner (Tucson), Nidal Hasan (Fort Hood 2009), Jiverly Wong (Binghamton), Seung-Hui Cho (Virginia Tech), Naveed Haq (Seattle), and Mark Barton (Atlanta).

My Thoughts: Sure would have made the town hall more interesting. But I have to give CNN positive points; they allowed Pro-gun people some time to voice their opinions also.

"...Cooper should have..."
LMAO Even if Cooper WANTED to push back on any of those points, as soon as he does they go to commercial break and some other CNN idiot comes back and explains that Cooper was "called away".

...gun confiscation... Obama is the introducer and Hillary wants to be the executioner. Of course she hasn't fully committed yet...still testing-the-waters to see if it is going to hurt her at the polls or not.
