You of all people would know the signs. I'm always keeping a close eye on what you are saying - you're much more educated in the warning signs than us that have been lost by our US education system. As Kris points out - we're all asleep at the wheel and the car is moving.
If you want total security, go to prison. There you're fed, clothed, given medical care and so on. The only thing lacking... is freedom.
