Those backstabbing bastages in the upper echelon are only "Neutral" when there is a Republican in office. They have toted the Carpetbagger Governor's line since Kaine took office. I have been in committee meetings, and seen the VSP Spokesman side against gun owners time, after time, after time. I don't hold it against the front line troopers, but I will not be "Rah-rah VSP!" when the time comes.

You want my support VSP? STOP SIDING AGAINST CITIZENS WHO HAVE NEVER COMMITTED CRIMES!

I've been told by a delegate with significant seniority that the VSP leadership are going to be confronted on no uncertain terms with the fact that their budget is dependent upon the good offices of the House of Delegates.

I don't know that that is it, us resting on our laurels. We are just employed/caring for kids/other leading useful lives. We are not living on the gov't dime so we have to work and work hard. Unfortunately our opponents have all the time in the world to scheme and to plot and we always have to come back and try to stop them and fix the messes.

This particular episode has gotten me so worked up that I have had a flare up of whatever it is that causes my body to go into attack mode. My TMJ is at epic proportions, my back is threatening to go into a spasm, and I can't sleep. Perhaps I need a good glass of real eggnog. Maybe that would help.

Actually it's not complicated for the Bristol Police.

We can take from this action on the part of our attorney general that Virginia exclusions to concealed carry are a tad too extensive. Mental illnesses are not all violent, or even unable to tell right from wrong. What does drunk driving have to do with self protection? More than one misdemeanor?...

It's interesting to note that Washington, DC has the highest per capita level of police officers of all cities in the US.
This list shows cities over 500,000 but I found another that shows that it's #1 even if smaller cities are included.
