Was that a place local to you? 22LR is still a unicorn around my house. But I only have one 22 and its a bolt rifle. I have 1500 rounds, so it will be awhile before I use it all.

I always stop at the Walmart in Soutb Hill every time I go that way. They always have some kind of .22 and some .17 too. Yesterday they also had several bxs. of .45 Colt That's the only Walmart I ever see it in. I am hoarding all the .22 I can so when I get the Slidefire for the 15/22 we can really have a Blast.

That's good ammo. I have the stuff in the sealed blue can. I also have 1000 rounds of the Winchester version. But I haven't seen any brand new in the box on the shelves for more than a year, maybe closer to 2.

After skipping past the zoo at the Fredericksburg Convention Center Saturday I stopped by Green Tops on the way home.

There was a sign on the door that said they were out of .22 rimfire ammo but did have some .22 magnum rimfire ammo that could be purchased at the customer service desks.

Last time I saw .22 mag, I was out west somewhere; Nebraska or Colorado, maybe.

I think the last time I bought some was at a gun show that I attended with some friends, shortly before I went on the road. Only gun show I ever attended, probably won't go to another one.

I wish I were closer to some of you. I feel like a hog. Between my son and I we have 4 buckets of 1400 rnds .22lr - and he does NOT have a .22 at all. But we do share my Remington Model 66 .22 Nylon. Its a blast to shoot.

I haven't seen a brick of decent .22LR under $30 since before Newtown. Current pricing in my LGS is about $50/brick (500 rounds) for CCI SV, Tactical, and Minimags.
