I just got home myself, I wasn't on the road nowhere as long as you. I had to make my weekly run to my coin dealer buddy in Salsbury NC. I just opened a new bottle of Henry McKenna...Rum is always my second choice. I do think it is illegal in VA to run completely out of Rum. I think I'll have to have a couple more and get in the right state of mind to watch the debate tonight.....Have a good one H !

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.
See conan got it wrong because the answer to "what is best in life?" is rum!

Got back from a VA beach conference... Two things, LEO's can drink me under the table. And I am not a rank amateur. Holy....crap.
God bless Gatorade, and ibuprofen.
Learned lots though, definitely worth it. One thing that rocked? Watching our Navy Aviators doing LOW fly-bys... on the 5th floor? You could read the numbers on the planes just fine.. HAHAHAH
Its funny, last time I was down there, I was talking to some locals about it and they all said they don't even notice it anymore. I can't imagine "getting use to it".

It is amazing what kind of background noise you can grow accustomed to. I grew up with both the L&N and the N&W railroad yards running behind our house. Even though it was 200-300 yards away and down in a cut about 75 feet below our house, you can imagine the hollow booming sound like thunder when those coal cars started, stopped, and especially when they were coupling and uncoupling cars. Same deal; you don't hear it because you always hear it. Later, My pappy and I were at a convention on Maui, and a lot of people were complaining because the booming of the surf breaking on the volcanic rocks all night was keeping them awake. Pappy's observation? "Makes me feel right at home. Sounds like coal cars coupling."
