Need Large Gun Safe Movers

Post by Ron71 »

Can anybody reccommend a good safe mover in or near Prince William county? I'm placing a Liberty safe that weighs over 1000lbs in the basement of my new home. I know I can go to Google or Angie's List and find something, but wanted to know if any guys here know of a professional that they have used in the past for a reasonable price.

Thanks.

your dealer should be able to recommend a safe mover.

Yeah he gave me a card...wanted options other than the "salesman friends with the mover and give you all my business arrangement".

Call your local moving companies. This is a very slow time of year for them so they would be more willing to take on a small job like this.

RIght. Thanks. Just wondering if anyone has their own experience and recommendation from somebody they really liked that moved or delivered THEIR safe.

I too recently had to move one of my gun safes .Being the old man that I am I decided to get a couple of young guys that work for me to move it. They also brought two other guys. I have to say that they made pretty short work of it . I tried to pay them , but they were content just having some range time.

I used a regular moving company. Four short guys from South of the border moved a 950 pound safe. JK Moving. Two miles and $375.00.. Laid it over an elevated dolly, Out the back door and up an off camber Hill. Lift gate into the truck and a straight shot into the first floor of the new abode. Strong f'ers they were.

It was Fort Knox and the original seller wouldn't return my calls for the move.
