Muzzleloader Buck
Muzzleloader Buck
I got this one this evening right before dark. Made a good hit with the Power Belt bullet but it didn't leave a good blood trail. Sgt. Bill came over to help me with the tracking job. Tough tracking but the deer didn't go more than 75 yards. 8 point, the butcher estimated him between 190 and 200 pounds on the hoof. Bill even got to see what Rednecks call "ROOTIN'" when we took my 4wd up and down slick hills.

Good deal, Henry!!!
I'm ready to go. All I got to do is find my boots. They got shuffled in the move.

Don't worry I won't kill 'em all before Saturday. I know there is one buck left with spikes about 10" long. I'm just culling the old and tough ones.

I was out all day yesterday. Didn't see a thing but squirrels and a fox. Still a good day in the woods.
Good Job VH.
Say. What's that brown, fuzzy thing under your tailgate there?

That's a nice rack Henry. What do you plan to do with it? Toss it in the pile with your others?
I've been debating whether I want to mount my first rack or not. I don;t feel like dropping the money required for a full head mount, but that would be ideal. Of course, this is all assuming that I get a deer this year
I just noticed that super-sexy sticker on your back glass too!

Rick I thought about having a shoulder mount done but I don't think it's big enough. I'm going to get one of those Iron Buck antler mount kit's and just mount those. Here's another pic, this one has my helper Bill in it.
