I am reloading my cast bullets in my 30-06 for less than cheap 9mm so I guess that it is a new 22

Carol and I shot most of a 555 rd. box of Federal .22 LR that I bought in 2009 for $18.99 plus tx .... .04 per round . We also shot 350 rounds of Tula , Winchester and Blazer 9mm about .15 per round. I 'm sure glad NOW that hoarded ammo all those years.

$0.20/round is about what I'm paying for 9mm these days. Rubbish!

Use this link and just change the caliber to your liking. You can sort by price per round.

Search for .22 lr remington 1400 round bucket. We got 4 for $70.00/each about 8 months ago.

Still prefer these folks for general ammo. 22lr isn't the cheapest but they do very well on center fire. And free shipping on first order and orders > $100.00.

These days less than.10 rd. for.22 is dirt cheap. I have several of the 1400 rd. pks. I paid $89.00 for each. It's been several months since I have seen any on the shelves. As for 9mm it does seem to average about .20 each . It does seem to be pretty plentiful. I sure wish I could find some .22 Mag. At a reasonable price.

$.045 primer + $.045 powder and less than $.01 for electricity and loaded on a Dillon, less than your inexpensive 9 and available 22s
