Protests after policeman is fired for shooting

Post by wittmeba »

Even though the kid did not have a weapon you never know what he might be capable of doing. The policeman's attorney defends his actions.

I wonder what the training field officer was doing, how far apart they were and why he didn't taser the kid.

Not all information is known yet.

My sarcasm says perhaps they should have let the kid select the vehicle he wanted to steal, get him on the street in a high speed chase and kill someone else. How stupid of them to shoot this poor College football player without a gun.

I was reading about this. There is an "article" on Vibe that brings up dead guys Twitter post; one them stated that he didn't want to die young. Also, he was apparently sympathetic to the "Black Lives Matter" movement.

I want to know why the TRAINER wasn't keeping a better eye on the TRAINEE. Could have altered the outcome a bit.

I'll agree that the officer-in-training might have made better decisions, but firing him and bringing him up on charges is a bit of an over reaction. The trainer might could use a stern talking to, as well.

As far as the dead guy goes? Well, he won't be vandalizing any more car dealerships, will he? He gets no sympathy from me. He should have acted like his life was worth something.

If he didn't want to die young he certainly made a poor decision of how to spend his free time.

I feel more for the LE losing their jobs while trying to do their jobs. As someone posted (somewhere) they are going to end up with the LE they are asking for. They have already complained in Baltimore that they don't feel the LE are doing their jobs anymore ... gee I wonder why?

There are no good guys in this case. But the comment above, "he should have acted like his life was worth something" should be the counter-slogan to the phony #Blacklivesmatter BS that is dominating the public echo chamber.

My the Furies have mercy on your soul if you dare post #AllLivesMatter, too. A couple of my friends posted photos to social media holding signs like that and they got eviscerated - called Uncle Toms, "Do you think you're better?", etc. Shameful.

Fired for actions contrary to department policy/procedures...while on probation? I have no problem with that.

I'm interested in any blood work findings on the deceased, though.

Exactly, ask me why I should shiv a git what happens to a POS who breaks into a car dealership? Seems he had zero respect for other peoples property = I have zero concern what happens to him.

Yep, did you hear what happened when O'Malley expressed the thought all lives matter? Shouted down. Makes me think it should be changed to "humanlivesmatter" & yours does not because apparently you've not quite made human as yet.

Much like I don't understand this "one year anniversary" horse manure going on in Furgeson. Um, ah, let's protest that the poster child of justified use of force got his due? Okay, sure.
It's just my opinion & worth exactly what you paid for it

I feel the Police Chief's and Commissioner's are sending a very wrong message to these criminals by firing LE when they perform their jobs. If you commit a crime without a gun there are no rules for you. If a LEO bothers you we will fire him.
