I'd like to buy one, but the quality of what can I find here (being used to practically sleep with an original army issued one in bed) keeps me back.

You should look at what Arsenal is turning out these days. Even CAI is building AK's far better than what their drunken monkeys used to crank out. Their C39 with it's milled receiver is a very nice rifle.

Not in the cards for me as of yet. There are others on the list that are higher up. However, that doesn't keep me from looking a few times a week.

Mike, I got the VZ58 from PSA last November when they had them in stock for $379.99. I like it, but still need to get it sighted in. When I took it to the range, the front signt post was stiff as heck and could not get it to move. I looseded it up, but now have to get back to the range to get it on paper.

I know a range Lester in Dinwiddie where you can site it in. Somehow all the targets got shot up pretty bad recently but , the owner is working on some new ones! I shot my SKS yesterday along with a buddy shooting his AK . Maybe we can talk Jay into bringing some of his fine AK 's down for a Sunday afternoon shooting spree before it gets to cold.

BTW, I found a SKS bayonet with hardware that needs a good home. Just the thing for fending off a zombie invasion.

Sounds like a great plan Randy! I got some extra mags for it also that I want to make sure they work. Just let me know what Sunday and I will be down! I got the word taht your targets took a beating at the meet and greet. I am still looking for some the the railroad ties you use to bring down for you.
