Or, how about when you are watching a movie or TV and when a firearm is displayed/in use and you wife says "hey, you have one of those!".

Just yesterday we were watching some movie where a lady shot her husband. When they found the gun (revolver) they opened the cylinder and there was 1 empty hole. That's how they concluded that was the gun. We all know revolvers do not eject empties casings.

And I'm amazed at how accurate at significant distances these pistols are. Full auto machine guns miss everything but the pistols always dead on.

Yep...it's just TV.

I have a friend that retired last year. His wife will retire soon . They want to down size from a 4,000 s.f house to a Tiny House with 400 s.f. They claim that it is the same there RV .They have been drawing plans and it seems everything is determined by the placement of the Gun Safe .

@ORS... I have a small biometric pistol safe bolted to the top of the night stand on my side of the bed. And if my wife is out of town, it sleeps under the covers on her side of the bed.

Re: Errors in movies and on TV.
I can't do much about the movie errors but in the last couple of months I've caused FoxNews to re-write their copy by sending their news manager an email.
Lately it was during Fox & Friends (morning show) they were calling a semi-auto a "revolver".
Email sent, the next time the story ran it was called a "pistol" and I got a nice email back thanking me.

What I have always thought would work best for news organizations? Hire a gun nut to proof the stories. It would keep them from sounding stupid.

Here's the actual Email to Fox and the reply I got.

-------- Forwarded Message --------
Subject: Steve Doocy and the Ted Cruise story
Date: Mon, 22 Jun 2015 06:18:53 -0400
From: AM************************
To: friends@foxnews.com

Would someone school Steve Doocy on the difference between a REVOLVER
and a Semi_automatic Pistol.
It's safe to say all hand guns are pistols but not all pistols are
revolvers.

Thanks,
Alan M********

Alan,
Thanks for writing earlier today, I'm just getting around to the email.
YES, you're right it was a pistol and I said revolver. We had not seen the image yet, and it was described to me as a revolver. When it came up on TV we were watching a tiny little TV and could not tell...I should have taken a closer look earlier. Sorry for the confusion, and THANK YOU for reaching out to help us!
Best always of course,
Steve Doocy

I met a Gun Nut today. I sold him a house full of replacement windows. He has a pair of black Labs named "Ruger and Kimber". Also a right fine collection of firearms.
