I have not been during a holiday in a long time. Wife and I went last weekend and it was not too bad.
Anyone been recently on a holiday? How do you think it will be on 4 July?

You go, and tell us all about it!
After working KD rides construction in the winters for 10+ years, plus getting sketchy inner ears ( a gift of being >50) I must say the thrill is gone.

Now is the time for all good men to get off their rusty dustys...

I'd avoid it.
If you can do it, the best way to hit Bush Gardens is to do it over the course of a few weekday evenings.
Also, it's pretty empty right after a rain.
For that to make sense, though, you need a season pass that includes parking.

I have not been to BG's since '09....But I use to go quite often on Holiday weekends when my wife had to do Health Inspections there. I got in FREE and the BEER was COLD !!! If I had a choice I would only go on week days !!!

My best friend and I had seasons passes one summer. We would go after work, during the week. Lines were short, we got parking right near the entrance. We'd do a few rides, then leave after a couple of hours. And, if it rained, we checked the weather. We tried to time it so that we would show up just as the sun came back out. The place would be empty. We could walk up to any ride and get right on it.

Never been to Bush Gardens....but it sure sounds like a nice place where an old fellow, like me, could sit in the shade of a friendly tree with his sweetie and sip a cool beer while we listen to the birdies in the garden sing to each other and a cooling breeze dances through the leaves.
