I had to dig into my "gun junk box" which isn't junk, but a bunch of spare parts that I'm not using.
What do you do with your spare parts? I had contemplated just selling them for a ridiculously low price, but most are the parts people would replace anyway.
Spare parts, what do you do with them?

Trash. It always feels good to get rid of junk.

Sort and store them. Never know what may come in handy. Even if you don't use them, you may have the opportunity to help a friend.

I am the biggest spare part packrat. I'll use that stuff one of these days!

Every time I go digging for a part, I find a disassembled gun.

Bagged, identified which part from which rifle/pistol, and stored in my plastic bin o' parts.

I only buy spares for guns I own, so, I might need them some day.
I spray some oil on them, put them in a zip lock bag, or a small empty washed out and dried well medicine bottle and then put the parts bags/bottles in an empty folger's coffee container with a label n it to tell me which gun the parts are for.
I've got a few of these on the shelf in the garage.

Okay, so i'm not alone in this matter! I feel a bit better. I have a rubber maid large tub full of shotgun/rifle/handgun parts. I started noticing, some aren't for guns I own, and remember that when I do builds for people I give them their parts back, which they just hand back to me, and say "Keep it!"
Now I have parts to guns I don't own. HAHAHAH!

Same here. I have a huge box of misc parts and a dedicated shelf in my safe for the more "expensive" parts. and it never fails, everything I toss out, I end up looking for a few days later, swearing up and down I know I have it somewhere.
I'm pretty sure if I buy a barrel, stripped upper and stripped lower, I can build a complete AR.

My grandfather (a farmer) lived by the adage, "Don't throw nothin' out, might need that some day."
Proud to say I have inherited that trait! My wife used to grouse about all the crap I had laying around. That is, until the day came that she wanted something done and I didn't have to go buy something to do the job. Amazing how quickly the tune changes!
