Chuck-you Schumer will replace him. Schumer is actually smarter and more aggressive than Reid.

Schumer's contemplating retiring as well Bob... He's been chatting about a position in the DNC. So He may be gone as well.

Schumer has been consistently very anti-gun, and he has a long history of sponsoring legislation, not just voting in favor of it when a bill comes around. The anti-gun lies that guy spews just boggle the mind.

Barbara Boxer will also retire in 2016. It's doubtful that an R will win her seat (let alone a pro-gun candidate), but hopefully a pro-gun R will win Reid's seat. There's going to be some important elections in 2016.

Good news. Sad that it took retirement to get him out of office. That doesn't give me a lot of confidence on who his replacement will be.

Sure, Schumer wouldn't want to play bridesmaid forever and the monolithic party structure discourages him from a power struggle with Reid. But I think he salivates at the prospect of the leadership chair and if it's open, he'll do anything for it.

I'm actually surprised Schumer hasn't tried to run for President. He's every bit as extreme as Fauxcahontas and a much smoother liar.

You know what's interesting is the conversations that are coming about with the Progressive/Communists realizing that they're in a decidedly lower position than back in 2006... 9 years... it' took 9 years for them to ruin the country completely.

Yeah, Reid is retiring from the Senate. But will he stay out of politics? Not likely. He won't really be gone until he's gone.

The speculation among the politics junkies in DC is that he didn't have an exercise machine accident, but he offended some of his Mafia masters and received a New Year's Eve beatdown and orders to resign in favor of another Dem stooge.
