What is with the hysteria? Kids with BB guns near a school get arrested and 2 schools go into lock down? Really?

Asinine. I understand that they want to make sure that a couple of teens aren't about to execute the next school massacre, but that could have been handled a little more low-key.

Locking down 2 schools and sending a flock of police cruisers to descend upon a couple of teens that aren't actually breaking any laws... ridiculous over reaction.

And to think that during hunting season there were multiple rifles in full display in truck windows at my high school.

How times have changed.

Same at my high school. They would have had to arrest the whole male school population, and several of the girls.

That is actually still legal in VA. Code of VA exemptions says "an unloaded shotgun or rifle in a firearms rack in or upon a motor vehicle" is completely legal in a school parking lot.

It's just that NOVA sucks.
