Two Ferguson police officers shot by protesters

From a house across the street where one of them ducked to shoot at the cops like a coward.

I would follow the Israeli example and bulldoze the house.

Was watching this on Fox News this morning and the thought ran through my mind that if you look at Holder's administration of the Justice Department beginning in the first days of his term with his summarily dropping the pursuit of the case against the Black Panthers that stood in front of a polling place and intimidated voters and follow similar acts through to his blatant race-baiting about Ferguson and his persecution and hijacking of the local police basically because they're "too white", you are led inexorably to the conclusion that Eric Holder is the most racist man to ever hold the office of Attorney General.

I was hearing about this on Fox, as it was happening.

Near as I was able to discern, several people that were in the employ of Ferguson either resigned or were let go, which was what the people wanted. So, like reasonable folk, the people... protested.

Fox commenters kept asking, "What more do they want?!" But, my question was "WHY are they protesting?" Damn ridiculous. Everyone that quit or got fired should be brought back; obviously Ferguson guessed wrong.

Actually, that wasn't a protest. They haven't had protests in Ferguson. What they have had is an angry mob of selfish, overgrown children throwing violently destructive temper tantrums. This has all been one big excuse for uncivilized people to reject the rule of law, in order to bring about anarchy.

Cops are being shot/shot at all across the country and it barely gets news airtime. In Durham N.C. alone 5 officers have been targeted since Ferguson.

What do they want? They've been chanting the answer to that at some of these "protests": "DEAD COPS". And THAT is what Eric Holder's been catering to and encouraging.

What concerns me about this particular shooting -
The media is now reporting that it was a rifle, from around 100 yards away.
This, IMHO, does not fit the profile of most 'street thugs' - it was not a drive by.
It does not fit the profile of a liberal protester. Eggs, cocktails, bricks - yes. but 100 yard rifle shots?
One officer was hit in the head, and another in the shoulder. At night, 100 yards away. That takes a some level of skill - admittedly minimal, any good ole boy with a 30-30 could do better.
BUT - how many left libs, community organizers, race baiters, etc have any level of skill to pull off this shot, and own the hardware to do it.

So, my fear is it will turn out to be a 'right wing militia/domestic terrorist' type. That is all Holder/Obama needs to make our collective lives miserable.

Actually, I read one account t that said the shots came from houses that were over 200 yards away, and had the same thoughts about who could make the shot, although I didn't think about a right wing extremist trying to provoke a race war.

God forbid.

With the officers lines up like they were I was actually thinking the shooter had a lack of skill. Not hard to point in that direction and hit two targets when there were that many of them.

The first thing I noticed was how the Cops were lined up. They never reported how many shots were fired , but they seemed to be an easy target.....Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while !

And this is the very reason why during the original protest response, LEO's rolled out in full riot gear including Kevlar vests, helmets, tacted out AR's, shields, gas canisters, etc.

You can't put officers in harms way and tell them that have to be out numbered, at an intelligence disadvantage (lack of knowledge of the situation), and not able to properly defend themselves. I am shocked it took this long for a police officer to get shot in Ferguson. I'm very shocked that they lived.

BTW, anyone know if the shooter used "green tip" ammo? I'm wondering if my conspiracy prediction is coming true much sooner than I thought it would? I bet BATFE uses this as a chance to expand the grab, using the LEOPA as a justification.

I thought about that green tip ammo thing.

One guy got shot in the face, the other in the shoulder, if the information that I heard at 3am is correct. Body armor doesn't cover the face, and I don't think that it covers the shoulder.

Hopefully, if they pulled some BS with green tip ammo (which would be the first ever incident, wouldn't it? Hardly an epidemic.), there will be enough people crying foul, and pointing out the obvious.

H... I have gone through every type of government statistic I can find. I have reviewed extensive data over several weeks. Like many others, I have not only never found an incident of any police officers ever being shot with green tips, I found that I need to rescind a comment I made earlier. I thought the guys who executed the N. Hollywood shootout used armor piercing rounds, but I was mistaken. They used standard AK 7.62mm rounds.

So, more exactly, since the government has been keeping track, there has never been a police officer shot with any armor piercing rounds... ever. Congress knew this at the time the law was passed. They knew they were passing a law on a lie, yet they did it anyway.

The fact that LEO's don't wear body armo on their shoulders or face, nor the fact that no LEO has ever been shot with armor piercing rounds will not stop the absolute methodical and systematic stripping of what remaining freedoms we have. They have to disarm us before they can rule absolutely and without opposition.

They want justice and so do the whites.

So we apply the rules, make the determination that Wilson was not guilty.

Now it seems they are saying that is not the justice we want.

The only justice they want is for Wilson probably in prison or headed to death row.

Their justice and our justice is not the same thing.

Par for the course ain't it..?? There's any number of laws, or regulations that get passed, that this statement applies. It's pretty much become the norm.

I've heard conflicting stories. LEOs on the scene said they saw muzzle flash from 100 to 200 yards away. I think if someone used a rifle, even at 200 yards, the guy who got hit in the face wouldn't be alive right now. I fired 55 grain .223 FMJ's (xm193 eqv.) through 1/2" plate steel at 25 yards like it was nothing. I'm having a hard time believing someones face has more resistance, even at 100 yards.

However, there is almost no chance that an untrained civilian is pulling off head-shots at 100 to 200 yards.

Unless they can remove the rounds and make a determination as to exactly what it is... I think the news story don't help prove much except how unreliable eye-witnesses can be.

People need to grow up. Protests do not include shots fired. When that happens it is not a protest but a riot. Which might be appropriate sometimes, but not in this case.
