Sometimes, it feels as if the United States are run by a bunch of 3rd world bureaucrats, who have no fear of being imprisoned, or fined/fired.

We need to change this...

Sounds to me like a scapegoat has been found.

Sounds to me like the County Attorney was stonewalling and therefore part of the problem. Of course, he might have been doing it on orders from the County Board, which puts him somewhere between scapegoat and just the lowest perpetrator on the totem pole who is taking the wrap.

It would have been good to let the investigation play out before all this came down. Of course that may just have resulted in a different scapegoat.

Given that this is not an isolated incident (one potential candidate for the oversight commission has sued for a similar offense) I'm gonna stand by my original assertion.

If your point is that there are a lot of other culpable parties whose role in Mr. Geer's demise has not been examined and sanctioned yet, I'd certainly concur.

Yeah, that's the nature of scapegoating. If the first offering appeases, that's the end of it. If not, a second will be offered, and so it goes. Rarely are all culpable parties examined.

So how about Kurt Bush? Think that NASCAR and Chevy have offered up enough scapegoats? Think Kurt Bush is happy with NASCAR wooing female fans?

I used to compare NASCAR to pro wrestling. Since then, I've had to apologize to pro wrestling.
