Hmm... I find myself wondering if it's a bad thing that DHS has no money.

Somebody on Fox News said 85% of DHS personnel are classified as essential, and so must work without pay until money is appropriated.

I find that 85% proposition hard to swallow. After all, prior to 9/11/2001, DHS didn't even exist. I know they put a lot of existing functions into DHS, but I'll bet anything that a lot of the massive number of new hires we could do without. And just for instance, if Border Patrol is so damned essential, why won't they allow them to do their damned job when they DO have money?

Looks to me like it's time to take a meat axe to the federal payroll, and DHS is as good a place to start as any.

whoa... whoa.... whoa.... that's not how federal jobs work bud... you have to pace yourself. You start getting something done, then people start expecting you to work all the time. No way. Not gonna happen.

Let DHS run out of money like the rest of us . I can honestly say I have never seen CNN...MSNBC or any other Liberal News Program and as for the Llama....I'll take the Llama over Obama !
