Also, not too long ago, I met Emily Miller (again), who just put out a book, “Emily Gets Her Gun, but Obama Wants To Take Yours”. We’ll tell you about that meeting.

Finally, we hear from an American Citizen who emigrated here from Castro’s Cuba some 40+ years ago. He provides some hard-core, first-hand wisdom of why the right to keep and bear arms must not be infringed.

I finished Emily Miller's book a couple weeks ago and gave it to my cameralady, "Miss B.H.C.", to read. Now that I've done so, I give you my impression of it.

And after that...then comes a critical--emphasis on "critical"--analysis of Pres. Obama's speech after Manchin-Toomey went down in flames.

Why do this now? Remember, the Navy Yard shooting in Washington DC just happened a month ago. Surely the antis are trying to figure out how to use these very same pseudo-arguments again in light of that recent shooting. So, this is my way of giving us pro-2A folks some precise, incisive ammo with which to cut their pseudo-arguments to ribbons.

Finally, we hear from a woman who escaped from North Korea and what happened to her family. Her story is what happens without the RKBA.

Again, why are we doing this? Wasn't that speech some months ago? Yes, it was. But immediately after this episode was published, there was yet another school shooting--just yesterday--at a Nevada middle school which claimed the life of a teacher and injured two others. The 13-year-old shooter then took his own life.

The antis will use incidents like yesterday's, and that rhetoric, to try again. And again. And again. This is part of their "use emotion, distort facts, and even outright lie when advantageous" playbook. And we need to be ready.

We start with a talk about leverguns, specifically the Rossi 92 in .357M with the 16" barrel. Since this topic's come up more than once on some of the forums I frequent, I thought I'd do an episode on this specific rifle and make a case for it.

A week ago, the parents (mother and stepfather) came to visit for the weekend. We went and saw the new "Captain Phillips" movie. We talk about their reaction to it. Turns out this kinda dovetails into something else posted here on Ammosmith.com, an alert about this little DHS and DoJ publication, two months ago.

We just had a Gubernatorial election here in Virginia, which the Democrats won. We'll discuss why that happened, from a Liberal point of view.

Also, an Army Veteran in Georgia recently got banned from her daughter's school for getting a Georgia State Carry Permit and posting this fact on her Facebook page. Should this be happening?

Nearly a year ago, I met the Code Pink folks when they protested a gun show. Finally, we have some audio of that, so you'll get to hear both sides of that argument.

And finally, we discuss a very important topic, certain aspects of range etiquette, from the point of view of a Range Safety Officer.

We do a lot of talking about guns this time. In the first segment, we discuss Ruger's relatively new SR-45 pistol, chambered for .45 ACP. You get my initial impressions of it after the first 350 rounds.

In segments 3 and 4, we discuss five different medium-frame revolvers--two S&W's, a Taurus, and two Rugers. This is because the medium-frame revolvers seem to be the most popular and the most plentiful for purchase.

And finally, segment 2 discusses religion. Normally I don't do this, but given the political tension about Christmas this year, I felt it was appropriate. And since the next episode is scheduled to come out December 26th, I'll just say here: Merry Christmas, everyone.

We continue our discussion on the significant decision of the Ninth Circuit regarding California carry. Folks, the antis really are all up in a tizzy. The CA State Atty General is even begging the Court, "please don't respect our citizens' rights! PLLEEEEEEEASE!!!"

We'll get into the recent Ukrainian developments shortly on the 'Corner. So, until we do, Ukraine provides us an example of what can happen to Californians if the RKBA keeps getting eviscerated in that State.

Then, we talk about AR-type rifles. A lot of people have been buying them recently. Here, I'd like to make the case for the AR-10/LR-308 version, i. e. the .308 Winchester version, for your consideration.

There's been another mass shooter at Fort Hood. Yep, the same one that (former) Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan did his shooting spree at, back in 2009. Well, April 2, 2014, just last night, someone else--an Iraq vet named Spc. Ivan Lopez--did a repeat of that tragic chapter. Once again, it took a "good gal" with a gun to stop the murderer; in this case, the assailant took his own life when presented by actual resistance.

It's time to take the shackles off of our people who are defending our country!

On that note, to keep marksmanship alive, we need new folks joining us. We need to pass the knowledge down. Here, we show how I managed to get two new shooters, both scared of guns, into enjoying the sport of marksmanship. The first is my cameralady, and the second is my mother, who had sworn she'd never touch a gun again due to a bad experience in the past. In both cases, we got past the fear, and now both women enjoy marksmanship.

Living in Virginia is an interesting experience for a native San Franciscan. Never did I even *dream* that I either could--or would--be attending a State House Subcommittee hearing on 2A bills...and while armed, too! But yes, that is legal out here! And yes, I did so last Thursday. And no, there were no "rivers of blood running in the hallways", to paraphrase the antis.

For those of you who've never been to one, you'll hear about how such an experience goes. Note: Lori Haas gets spanked, with her own words.

After that, we'll do some more levergun talk. This time, it's Rossi's Model 92 in .44 Magnum, and we compare it directly with Ruger's 96/44, also in .44 Magnum. Head-to-head comparo here.

By now, everyone who likes guns probably knows about the BATFE's proposed ban of M855/SS109. Eric "Fast 'N' Furious" Holder, backed by Barack "Executive Privilege" Obama, is at it yet again with an economic attack on the 2A.

However, thanks to a fellow on the Ammosmith.com forums, I was alerted to the possibility that...they might actually have a legal point this time. This is bad news. Hopefully you all are sending in your letters. I have.

But we still discuss, from a *Democratic Party* perspective, why even if that's true, it's still stupid and silly. I'm no Democrat, but I do know something about their stated Party platform.

And then...we deal with a First Amendment issue, up in Idaho. For some of you here, your hearts may be for what they're doing up in Kootenai County, ID. But First Amendment violations are First Amendment violations, whether Liberals, Conservatives, or Cucamongans try 'em, and they need to be called out when they happen.
