*snort*

I just asked GF to give me her opinion of the "Feminist Man", in 3 words or less.

"Lazy", she said. Now she ranting about how horrible feminism is.

Amusingly, my grandmother would have the same opinion.

Myself, I don't have much use for that kind of male.

I guess now would be a bad time for me to confess that I ironed a bunch of my shirts this morning?

Nothing wrong with ironing your own shirts. Men should have both the ability to put forth a sharp and snappy appearance, as well as a broad skill set. Shirt ironing would be a step towards satisfying both.

The interesting thing? Every guy in my circle of true friends can cook, clean, iron, sew, repair vehicles, minor electronics, material working (leather, wood, metal, etc.), hunt, fish, shoot, etc., etc. etc.

The only reason we would like to have a woman around is to give us comfort (read that any way you wish), share the load, and perhaps birth/raise our children.

Perhaps THAT is something the modern feminist should realize. They don't need me, and I don't NEED a woman, I happen to WANT one.

As a youngster, it is sad that this is what it has come to.

Although, it makes filtering for a mate much easier. Is she eat up feminism? Next, please. :)

Hard for me to believe grownups worry about that crap. If you care enough about somebody to pair with them (however you go about that) and be true "life partners", all that doesn't matter; and if not, you're just sowing wild oats.

I'm already in the dog house for describing the Woman's balance as that of a blind drunk rhino.

God Love her, she thinks she's the ninja ballerina...

But when i hear "Thup-thup-thup-THUD"! It means she's falling again, and Eddie Murphy comes to mind with "Vivian".

thank god she knows how to camp, and shoot.

My mother told me in high school, "You better learn how to cook, clean, and take care of yourself, since you won't have a woman around all the time." My mom was also the one to teach me how to fish and crab - my dad worked a lot of hours and was on TDY a lot.

So, yeah, I can cook, clean, iron my own clothes, fix some poop on a car, do home repairs, etc etc. I also wine, dine, and romance my wife. There's no spectrum, or black and white - some men can, some men can't, some men won't.

Side note - if a man can cook, it seems to help a LOT with the romancin'.

The best way for a man to learn to cook is ON THE GRILL!! Takes some of the pressure off the wife and she doesn't have to clean that part up! She's happy!

I'm one hell of a cook - - gourmet level. But so is SWMBO; and she says she'd rather cook than clean up after me. And so I leave well enough alone.

Ha! When I cook I get everything dirty, lol.

Wife says she know's it's gonna be good when the whole kitchen is trashed and the counters are covered...

I'm the same way Palladin lol. I'm a great cook according to my wife and family, but the woman would rather me clean up than her clean up after me because I apparently use too many dishes. I told tell her the Pyramids weren't build with just a chisel and rope. Cooking certainly does help things out as Mindflayer says though. I also make her stuff. Made her a handmade scarf and a home made peg loom I made. Took all of 2.5 hours to do, you'd think I bought her a thousand dollar necklace.

Lucky dog. Only thing that impresses SWMBO like a $1,000 necklace ought is a $2,000 necklace. Enjoy it while you can. After she puts up with you for 3-4 decades, she'll probably get harder to impress, too.
