And it begins… he has to payback Bloomberg after all. Off to contact my representatives.

McAuliffe can go f*ck himself. I will gladly give him instructions on how to do it. This carpet bagger POS can go back to where he came from. If you read between the lines his 'gun show loophole' garbage would be used to make all private gun sales illegal in the state of Virginia without a background check.

Maybe he'll just fade away when his term is up. Or go back north where he belongs.

I am sending out some communications to the State Congress about this later tonight. Got too much happening right this second... but there is no way I am going to ignore this.

Yeah, and these are all "common sense" proposals. Anyone with half the common sense of this New York carpetbagger can see this all leads down the road to confiscation.

We need to amend the Virginia Constitution to prohibit someone who wasn't born in the commonwealth, and lived at least 75% of his/her life here to be prohibited from seeking state-wide public office. This should include the governors mansion, the legislature, cabinet appointees, judgeships and other elected officers.

Elections have consequences that's all I'll say.

We all knew it was only a matter of time until this scumbag would make his move here in VA. It appears that a concerted national effort for gun control is now being pushed by these Progressive/Liberal A-holes.

As I write this, a jihadist animal is holding 12 hostages in a Sydney, Australia chocolate shop. An example of yet another country which has initiated strict gun control. I for one, will NEVER give up any more of my God given rights to any of these animals, foreign or domestic.

I sure hope that this doesn't come as a surprise to anyone. I actually expected this sooner.

I like the idea of limiting eligibility for public office to actual Virginians.

Revoking CHP for being behind on child support? Fathers/men have already been victimized by a biased, bigoted and sexist court system. Another supporter of the war against men.

Imagine getting laid off and then losing your CHP because of it. What would be the outcry if we substituted 'common sense voting restrictions' in place of guns?

Common sense, my azz! Revoking concealed-handgun permits for parents who are delinquent on child support payments is not a REASON for revoking a CHP because the delinquency doesn't necessarily have anything to do with your fitness to carry. It is simply an EXCUSE to exclude another group from concealed carry, and is indicative of TMac's attitude that your Second Amendment rights are merely to be tolerated by the government on condition of good behavior.

I also note that McAwfull would set aside $100,000 to pay for state police to attend the shows and prohibit gun shows from advertising the private vendors’ exclusion from the background checks. So, in the eyes of TMac, not only are Second Amendment rights subject to the whim of the state, but also First Amendment rights as well. And at a time when school and law enforcement budgets are being cut in the Commonwealth due to a looming budget shortfall, he has no trouble finding extra money to pay for the State Police to spy on gun shows.

When it comes to our tax money and our rights, this guy is like a rat: What he doesn't eat up, he sh!ts in.

Child support delinquency revocation of CCP would not affect 2A rights to carry, it would merely affect how you carry...and where you can carry and what you can carry........aww never mind.

Right. The requirement for a CHP is already an impermissible INFRINGEMENT. TMac's proposal exacerbates an existing violation of our Second Amendment rights.

By picking on a subgroup for whom there is already some degree of opprobrium and therefore reduced sympathy, TMac is using the old Nazi trick of persecuting the unpopular elements first. And just as it did in Nazi Germany, the common man's turn to be oppressed will come when all the marginal and marginalized groups have been picked off and there's nobody left to object.

Just sitting here wondering if the Australians held hostage in that chocolate cafe would mind if an armed citizen were available to prevent their "lone wolf" stand off, delinquent child supporter or not.

(shrugs) We have two choices, lay down, or fight.

I choose to fight. And once more? I want to have the berated male allowed to have his rights.

I want due process as part of ANY removal of rights. This "We can pick and chose which rights you have" bullsh't has to stop.

Unfortunately a lot of Virginian's laid down instead of fighting in the last couple of elections. The Northern part of the state is getting more and more blue while Republican's/Libertarians/Conservatives tear each other up and let the snakes into office .

3% is all it took to change this land from a colony to a nation.

If we lack that much again? (shakes head) Then that's the difference between a gun owner, and someone who owns a gun.

Of all the folks that I have known to fall behind on child support, I'm the only one that can legally possess a gun. (Apparently, when you find out that you are the father of a three year old, you get to pay 3 years of back child support. )

Outside of garnishing wages, I really can't think of anything else that will make a negligent parent pay child support. And, that doesn't work well, either. The negligent parent just quits working when the garnishment starts.

Of course, if they brought back public humiliation. ...

As was previously stated, this has nothing to do with encouraging responsible parenting, anyway. Most folks that aren't paying child support are felons, anyway, (at least, that's been my personal observation) so any permit that gets yanked will be a bonus for that schmuck.
