Any local vendors in Northern Va sell Wasr 10?
Any local vendors in Northern Va sell Wasr 10?
Does anyone know of any vendors in Northern Va that sell Wasr 10 AKs?
Re: Any local vendors in Northern Va sell Wasr 10?
I gotta ask... Why a WASR? Which WASR? I'm sure you're aware that there was a string of them imported for years that are complete garbage, but there are also some nice older ones that weren't all cobbled together.

Either Npap or Wasr. I have done some research that states most of the past Wasr problems have been fixed. That is why I want to see one in person.

Have you checked www.cheaperthandirt.com
They will ship to your local FFL for transfer. If I had one, I would have gotten it from them and been pretty happy...
good luck

Atlantic arms has them for $529. I have never done the online FFL thing. What is involved?

I've bought AK's from both Atlantic and Classic Firearms. If you don't see your local dealer listed in their FFL database, ask your dealer to fax a copy of their license to the online merchant. After that, it's not much different than buying a toaster on Amazon. Just pick the firearm you want, add it to the cart and complete the transaction by selecting your local dealer as the "Ship To" address.TonyInVa wrote:Atlantic arms has them for $529. Ask your local dealer what they need prior to the online purchase. Most will ask you to fill out a form with the details about the online merchant. And don't forget to ask the local FFL about their transfer fee. It can vary wildly.

Here is a pretty good deal on a WASR. I bought a WASR under-folder from J&G a while back and I'd do business with them again.
Romanian WASR10 AK Style Rifle, 7.62x39, Wood Stock, Bayo Lug, Slant Cut Muzzle.
Price: $449.95

Thanks. That is a pretty good price. How was your WASR. Any of the common WASR issues like canted sights or mag wobble? Atlantic Arms says they check to make sure you wont have those issues.dmharvey wrote:Here is a pretty good deal on a WASR. Now that's funny. The first AK I bought from Atlantic had the magazine filed down so it would fit in the AK's magwell. The person that did the low-cap to high-cap conversion must have been as blind as Ray Charles.TonyInVa wrote:Thanks. That is a pretty good price. How was your WASR. It was easier to finish the job myself and clearance the magwell correctly instead of bitching to Atlantic. I still have the mag, it will almost fall out of the gun now.

I've put about 2000 rounds through my WASR without any problems. My expectations weren't real high when I bought mine (I was purchasing a $400 AK) but it doesn't have any of the issues I've read about on forums.
