First of all the Dem's message for DECADES is "the people are too stupid to make their own decisions - that is why we have to make those for them".

Look no further than the banning of the light bulb for stark evidence of this concept in action.

Second, my own first "clue" about this was when Nosy Nancy Pelosi openly stated that the REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS (actually anyone who wasn't on the "inside" in congress) would have to pass it to know what was in it. And the democratic-held congress did just that.

So why would anyone be surprised at this guys "revelation"? It's all old news. And, unfortunately I'm begging to see their point.

However I do not attribute this to stupidity but rather apathetic laziness on our part.

Also, keep in mind, in most elections nearly half of the populace voted for the communist, oops, "democratic" ticket.

It is true enough that this is not news. Not to people like us who have had their eyes open all along. But I fear it is news to many among the Kool-Aid drinkers; some of whom will actually care now that they're awake. The only newsworthy thing about this is that one of the insiders among the Obamunists lost control of his arrogance and actually told the truth about what they'd done. Now, you've got to agree THAT was an extraordinary occurrence.

I think the "root cause" of the depth of the doo-doo we're in is IGNORANCE, which is enabled and exacerbated by the apathetic laziness you cite, several generations of the "dumbing-down" and socialist adulteration of education, the entitlement culture that predisposes many not to risk biting the hand that feeds them, and the enthusiastic complicity of the mainstream media and most of the entertainment industry.

The election victory , as good as it was, is only a first step. Unfortunately, the next step, which will require just as much vigilance, activity, and organized communication, is to prevent the "Progressives" in the GOP from ruining it. Boehner and McConnell have both shown their yellow streaks already.

Remember when Mark Levin and a few others organized millions of conservative Americans to spike the attempt at amnesty for illegals in 2008? We will need at least that much effort, from at least that many people, to keep the Republican clowns in line until they can be deposed from the leadership of their respective chambers.

A ++ for that Mamabear. The Demorats, which is my less crude term for them, have been doing this lie and cover-up thing as long as I and my parents can remember - almost 100 years. For example go back about 100 years and we got the permanent Income Tax thru abuse of the Constitution. Then came the New Deal which allowed a ton of bad stuff that never should have happened. They lie, distort, cover up and smile while they are co-opting the future of your children and grandchildren, and their main stream news-propaganda machine is saturating the public.

Then, with dumbed-down government schools, and "Progressive" re-writes of history, the "folks" (that's what the Liar in Chief calls them) eventually become stupid enough in sufficient numbers for their purposes. It all fits nicely with the principles of Marx, Lenin and Saul Alinsky.
