Just received a terrible announcement email. Our Sgt. Michael Thiel passed on Nov. 2 after a battle with cancer. His father was a career officer - Major Thiel and we all had the opportunity to meet him while serving in Vietnam. They are both good solid men of character. Oddly this day was my wife's and my wedding anniversary of 46 years. We married 17 days before I left for Vietnam.
Rest in peace, Sgt. Michael Thiel. You were a fine leader.
