Gift for my wife Need input

Post by Taggure »

Hey all I am looking for input on this from our Female members. I saw this and was thinking about getting this for my wife for Christmas but was not sure about it. Tell me what you think if this would be a good solution for her. I saw this in a advert and it looked like it would make it very easy for her to conceal her .380 with. Thanks for the input.

These CCW Corsets for the ladies allow women to conceal carry their weapons safely and securely WITHOUT having those unwanted bumps, lines, or bulges in their outfit! We have these in FIVE different sizes and THREE different colors!

I have several female friends that carry IWB with the Glaco Belly Band and LOVE it. I would think the Corset would make sitting down/bending over very uncomfortable.

Does she wear shape wear ever? After 5 kids my muscles need some help coming back together so I am already used to the constrictions if shape wear. To add a holster would be interesting twist to what I already wear.

Do you know her waist size.....you will likely need to know in inches and in truth not just what we all wish we were.

I think it is pretty and practical if it is properly made and not itchy (the problem with some shape wear). I like it. With the conditions above I think it could be lovely gift.

Thanks for the feed back and to answer your questions:

Yes she wears form fitted shirts and I am not sure how to get her actual waist size measurment whithout her asking a lot of questions. Maybe measure her waistband of her jeans?

You may not want to measure the waistband ofher jeans, unless the waistband actually goes around her waist.

You may want to talk to one of her friends, or aclose female family member. Explain what you are trying to do, and maybe they can get that measurement under the guise of "getting measured for girly wear for amusement purposes".

ok finally got a chance to talk to my wife about this. She used to wear corsets. Her worries are access to the weapon. As for measurements you will not only need her waist measurement but also the length of her torso, hips and right below the ribcage. For a comfortable fit it should basically be custom made.

As much as you have to pull the shirt up, maybe one of those flashbang bra holsters would be a good fit and do away with all the pesky measurements.

As a girl who has worn and wears on special occasions corsets. Especially made for my body I would say if made for her and her measurements, and there is padding on the inside part where the gun will rest up against the body then go for it.

Here are some things to consider:

A well made corset will fit like a glove. Will give no pain and will enhance the areas that you want to enhance. That being said there is usually a considerable amount of boning in most well made ones. My leather ones have very strong steel boning. As for bending over. My corsets don't allow you to bend over at the waist. So if it is well made then you won't need to worry about bending over, it does restrict your movement in the bending at the waist area, but bending at the hip is free.

I would be concerned about the butt of the gun digging in under my rib cage, and the barrel of the gun digging into my hip looking at that picture.

Other than that... it is a sweet idea. Maybe get it for her, for special occasions. Like when you go out on a date, or other such special occasions. I am sure she will love it.

I don't know that I would wear it every day personally. However, my experience is from custom corsets designed to cinch you in, made out of leather, and damask fabric. I have a few leather ones, and a few made of other cloth fabrics. I love well made corsets.

My two cents.

Thanks for the advice. I was looking at it the other day and she walked in and saw it on the screen. Well we had a discussion about it and although she said she liked it she would not wear it, so I guess I am glad to find this out now rather then spending the money on it and it sitting in her closet.

I always find things like this it is better to talk about it, before getting anyway. =)

Glad it all worked out in the end.

The only way I'll appear in the calendar is if I'm wearing a burka - size extra-large.

I have one iron-bound rule of long standing about buying apparel for SWMBO:

I don't.

Never, ever bought her anything to wear that she didn't either take back or give away.
