USDoJ's Operation Choke Point claims another win

Post by OakRidgeStars »

Using a Square credit card reader on your smartphone to process gun or ammo sales? Not any more.

that can work both ways. after today I will never do business via square. I am willing to bet if all gun owners did that Square will feel it worse than us. I know plenty of business and services will gladly take my money any way I choose to give it to them and the square is off the list

I wish all gun owners would think that way. If they did they wouldn't use a lot of companies, EBay, PayPal, Starter, etc... etc....

This is actually old news, Square has been Anti-gun for awhile.

Between all of these "hacks", I suspect good old American CASH is gonna be the way to go soon!

Last time I checked, gun stores and Gun Show venders still take cash. Also, there are many other wireless credit card systems out there. Square is only one. It's their loss.

All that aside, we can't let the federal government keep doing underhanded, backdoor mafia style intimidation and racketeering. I can't believe that no one has brought this to court.

Is there a complete list of gun un-friendly businesses? That needs to be posted here.

On a side note - a friend works in the Front Royal Target and said she saw a guy OC'ing there yesterday. Apparently no one even took notice. If they did, no one said anything to the guy.

Pretty much every Silicon Valley corporation is a creature of the Democrat party. It's hard for people my age to avoid them though; they're basically second nature while cash feels weird.

I reckon I'm "old school". I prefer to deal in that thar yankee money. And although a feller can't get by without a credit card or two these days, I do not have and refuse to use one of them double-bedamned debit cards.

I deal in cash, as much as possible.

I still feel weird using the fuel card at work. I use the card to pump $800 of diesel, another $60 in DEF, then drive off feeling as if I never paid for it.

I looked at Square when I first opened my gun shop a year ago and their literature said they would not process for gun and related stores. That literature went into the trash immediately and I found someone else.

I agree, I mostly use cash for everything. We have no credit cards and use a debit cared rarely.

Until a few months ago I worked for Vi$a. It is generally agreed that cash is the worst enemy of the card brands and processors like Square. They fear it more than BitCoin and play nice with the government because electronic payments reduce anonymity in ways useful to our masters.

Another reason to deal in cash. I don't feel like explaining my purchases to anyone. Hell, I get annoyed when anything I do is questioned by anyone. GF can verify that, lol. Not that I'm hiding anything, or even feel like I need to. It's just the principle of the thing. Free men ought not have to be compelled to explain why they purchased a few boxes of ammo, some bottled water and steel wool in the same time frame that they bought a plane ticket.
