Backyard Shooting Range

Post by Snakester »

I've been working on my Backyard Shooting Range when time permits. Progress is slow with so many other things going on. We have been shooting most of the Winter and now we are trying to get it at least 90% complete for Summer . I also started a covered shooting deck Yesterday and plan to have completed this week. I decided to raise it a little , really just enough to level it and seems to work ok ! I think the roof is going to be well worth it for the shade and to be able to keep shooting when rain showers sneak up on us.

You're a lucky man. Wish I had one of those in my yard. Not going to happen here in Fairfax County though.

I had a little time today to just about finish my Shooting Range Deck. Only needs a few pieces of skirting and trim. The vinyl ceiling and siding will be done when I install the Siding on My Cabin. I think it turned out pretty good...Will give it a good workout Sunday !

You should do retractable / removable siding to keep it wide open during nice days and fully closed when it's raining/snowing.

I have a friend that is in the Awning Business. He says he can make Custom Removable Panels and Door out of Vinyl Awning Materials ....We'll see what he comes up with. I'm spending $$$$ like they are going out of style !!! Got to draw the line somewhere !

I think you draw the line after you've installed the stove, satellite dish, and hot tub!

If its any consolation thanks to inflation $$$$ really is going out of style. may as well spend it if you got it.

Nice work btw, I'm as handy as a guy with no hands and love seeing stuff like this.

Good stuff! Are you sitting that on cinder blocks? I can't quite tell. If not, I hope you're using pressure-treated lumber. Looks like some good carpentry work.
