New wood grip panels

About a week ago I picked up my Ruger SP101 (357) grip from Taggure. I wanted to post a couple of photos of his fine work. He used Bloodwood for the panels, with 3 coats of tung oil. I am extremely pleased with the workmanship. Surprised more of you have not taken him up, on his generous offer. I immediately took the Ruger out and enjoyed a few rounds that morning. BTW I am able to control the recoil much better with the thicker panels.

I'd love to, but I have a P226 with one piece plastic wrap-around grips with no mounting hardware. Just spring pressure from the plastic.

I need to reload light 38's for her. My wife injured her right hand years ago, and lost some strength. She typically sticks with her three 22lr pistols. She does love the look of the Ruger with the new grips. I hope to convince her to try the Ruger some day soon.

Is that a SigSauer P226, or another make as it looks as those can be replaced on the Sig?

Yep, its the Sig Sauer P226. They can be replaced, but its expensive and a PITA.

I have the E2. It has a one piece molded assembly that wraps all the way around the receiver to cover the trigger springs and assembly, hammer spring and assembly, de-cocking spring and assembly, etc. If I replace the grips, even with other Sig grips, the hammer assembly and springs need to be replaced and I need to buy a hardware kit for mounting the new grips.

I have full confidence you would make something outstanding, but the level of effort to make ergo hollow two piece grips that would wrap around the whole receiver without obstructing all the moving parts, plus the additional cost of the additional hardware seems like something that would not be doable at a reasonable cost.

If you are near by, we can meet up so you can see what I am talking about, but I don't think its gonna happen.
